I went to look at Oakmont of Fresno. The staff was very welcoming, wonderful, and gracious. We had an excellent tour. There was a very good explanation of the different levels of care available. The ground was beautiful. The rooms were all up to date. It's a new facility, so everything was relatively new. They had a huge theatre room where they could see movies or football games or whatever they wanted to watch, and that was very lovely. The dining area was very good. You could have buffet style there, or you could be served, which was lovely. We didn't sample any of the food, but we saw food being prepared, and it was very good.

We liked Oakmont a lot. I think the apartments there were too small. They had very good food and open dining. They were like a cruise ship. It seemed to have great facilities.

We liked that Oakmont was smaller, it was excellent, and we would opt for this place in five years' time. It's about two years old, modern, and up to date. The dining is from a good menu, you order from the table, and the food is excellent. The staff was excellent, and we thought the biggest suite -- which was around 1100 sq. ft. -- was small. They have a small exercise room.

I thought Oakmont was very nice. It was new and innovative. I enjoyed the tour and the lunch and liked the fact that they have a chef on staff. It was not quite what I was looking for, and it was too expensive for me.
