Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

They're very good in making sure they provide caregivers. Corporate of Right at Home communicates very well with me.

One of the workers does my grocery shopping. The others clean the house and sometimes cook for me.
Anything that I need I can call and they will find a way to get it for me.

I do not know what I would do without them. I have to work and I could not take off work that often. These appointments were during the week and there were many of them. All I asked was for transportation and she went above and beyond.
The caregiver was wonderful. They made arrangements if they could not make it so we did not miss a beat.

I want consistency in the caregivers. It feels like a lot of different caregivers are coming so it's hard to get a routine.

For my father it's been okay but they are not doing much. For my mother it's great. They have helped her by letting her leave the home and she knows that my father is being taken care of.
I like that they have good staff. My father and mother are in a rural place. The caregivers seem to coming from farther away and they tend to call in more often than we would like.

The office staff are very responsive. There's a lot of turnover, but in terms of how the organization is, they're pretty responsive.

I sometimes feel that younger people treat older people like they're slow or don't know what is going on, and my grandpa can feel that. His mind is sharp, but he's not a complainer. His one comment about the younger people is that they don't talk to him.
It depends on which employee is here. With one, the care is outstanding. She goes above and beyond what is asked of her. I think what's lacking in the younger employees is their communication with elderly people in general.

A lot of times I would write out what needed to be done and I would tell them that this should be done and it wouldn't get done. I think the workers get burned out. It would take a high amount of interest to look around and see that something needs to get done and that we could work together to get it done, but that wouldn't happen.
The owner is great and is very good to work with. She just hasn't been able to get as good of people as we would have liked. One caregiver has been good, but it just seems like she is struggling a little bit with how things are going too. She isn't coming on one of the days. I hope the owner can get more people to work better for her. I really respect her a lot.

My mom is resistant to the caregiver. She doesn't understand why she needs them. She hasn't taken full advantage of what they can do. She thinks of them as cleaners. I want her think of them as a personal assistant. They provide less burden on the family members.
It would be nice to see a photo and a bio of the caregiver before they start.

I have no problems really. Everything is good. I can have someone take care of the wife while doing something else, like going grocery shopping.

I had back surgery. To have them available to do the things I can't let's me stay at home to be a caretaker for the person here who has Alzheimer's.
I can usually depend on them being here, or they let me know when they won't be here.

She only comes once a month to clean. I have somebody who seems pretty new, and she does it differently than I normally would, which is okay but not ideal.

We talked about itm and I don't know if they're still going to do it, but it'd help for them to make up weekly nutritious menus and grocery lists like they have in facilities where they post the menu for the week. I had a double hip replacement recently and was in no shape to help with meals. That's why an already developed meal plan would help.
I like their staff, and I like their supervisor. They're timely, and some caregivers are better than others, but I especially appreciate the ones that really connect with my husband. He has Parkinson's and there are a couple of people that really help his quality of life.

The caregiver who comes here is helpful and does the best she can with me.
I have COPD and my mornings are bad, so I can't blame them, but I am not compatible with the service they offer. However, my wife was with this agency for a long time and I was satisfied with the way that they handled things.

It is very effective on the days that we have them because on that day they usually make a meal or prepare something. We really appreciate these caregivers coming in and preparing meals to make sure we have a good meal every couple of days.
They seem to be very personable and effective. They are always on time. I really have no complaints.

Higher fees do not mean better service. Beware of this company. We got someone who did very little and complained all the time. I would never recommend this company to anyone,. Very militaristic.

You couldn’t ask for providers then this Right At Home people. They’ve been supportive and helpful for me for two years and I’m also 150 miles away from my uncle they are looking after. The supervisor/ manager/owner has been nothing but superior and helpful in every way. Always there when you have a question/issue. Highly recommended.

Right at Home comes to help me clean and do the laundry. The caregiver now helps me with the laundry, changes the bedding, and cleans the bathroom.
