I was moving back from somewhere because I wanted to be at home. When you move back, everything is a jungle. This agency helped organize the things that I had brought back. My medicines, clothing, you name it. They organized everything so beautifully.
I like that I didn't have to look around. A friend of mine has been with different home care agencies and she told me this one was the best.

I live very far away, so it was very helpful, and they did their best to allow her to stay in her apartment until the end.
I liked that they had a nurse available and they tried to work with my mother when she was difficult.

When I first brought them in their impact was very high, and now I am slowly removing myself from 24/7 care. I'm not comfortable going downstairs for my laundry so they do that for me.
I like the quality of the people that they have. They're very pleasant and helpful.

I definitely need her in my daily life. My caregiver helps me with my breakfast and my dishes. She sees the little things that have to be done that I neglect. She helps me with my shower and in the bathroom if I need it.
I have had very nice caregivers so far. I have a great one right now that is like a companion and she does many things for me. I am very happy with her. I have never had help before so I never knew what I could ask of them and she guides me along and we get along well.

It gave us a sense of safety, they did not make us feel guilty for stepping out, they let us know what we could do to help. It allowed us to still have our own lives and not worry.
I think they were responsive to us, they clearly understood what we needed and were able to communicate regularly about things.

My mom will talk about her caregivers on days that they're not even there. She is starting to build a connection with them and looks forward to seeing them again.
They provide company and companionship for my mom. They provide good care for the days we as a family cannot see her as much.

We have had in home care for my Mom since August 2020. Consistent, caring and responsive are what comes to mind. Dementia is a horrible disease and the compassionate treatment of my mom has been so helpful to all of our family.

It is a company that is local. If there is an issue, it would be nice to have an office nearby.

When I was living on my own, the caregivers at Home Helpers helped me with my housework and things I can't reach. In my facility, they helped with my packing when I moved over.
I have had trouble in the past with Home Helpers where they don't send a caregiver when they are supposed to be there, or they send a caregiver when they aren't supposed to. It's a communication issue.

They come once a week, mainly for his bath. The lady that comes does a wonderful job with that. I haven't gotten out a lot so they give me time to do that.
They've been very responsive. I've had periods of time when I haven't needed them and they've been on the spot with coming back.

They've been compassionate with my mom and dad during this time. They help her stay in the home, which is her main wish.
They have a great team. We transitioned my mom into hospice care and they've been helpful with going through the entire process.

They could have been a little bit more attentive and done some more things around the house. Sometimes she didn't always do everything I thought she should have. She would do dishes or laundry and she would put things away in places I wouldn't put them, which caused me to hunt around for an object. She had a couple of physical issues.
They helped me with my daily tasks. They were always prompt, rarely late, and never missed a day.

I like them being there and being supportive. They have been very consistent. We both feel secure.
I like that the office people are always available and I like how there is a nurse. Our aide is fantastic, and there is a good consistency.

I wasn't over there, but I have a disability myself so I didn't get over to the house as much. In the two and a half weeks I didn't make it over about once or twice. From what I was told she was well taken care of. She spoke highly of two or three of the people.
We had two people from the company plus the initial head person who came in. We were really pleased with two or three of the people. We had some issues with fill-ins, but most of it was good.

I would recommend them if they kept their word and sent fewer people.

It gave me the comfort since I couldn't stay there 24/7.
I've done it twice. They worked with me because my mom was stubborn and didn't think she needed the service, so they worked around her.

When I'm no longer able to do things and I don't have someone else to help, they are there. I don't need a nursing home because of them.
They call up once in a while to see if I'm satisfied. They are always available.

It allows me to head back to Arizona with fairly peace of mind that things are being taken care of back there.
They are here two hours per a day, and we need someone here for four. The person just sits around and doesn't know what to do, and that seems to be a little unnecessary. It's not the caregiver's fault because the owner changed.

It helped me that I didn't have to go over there everyday.
To be honest, when I interviewed, I told them our needs with cooking. She was malnourished, and they needed to make sure she ate. Everyone just listened to her when she said she wasn't hungry. They wouldn't feed her. Her nutritional status did not improve. They did whatever she asked, but they didn't do what the family wanted.

Some of the caregivers that we had were not appropriate for my loved one's needs. They would just let him sit in front of the TV instead of engaging with him.
I should have been more vocal when the caregiver was not working for us.

I would have been all alone and have to take care of him. He was very sick, and I had to go tour and do chores. The girls were very nice. We had no problems.
They know my son, and they were very nice. I liked them, and the girls were good.

Our current caregiver is outstanding. We've had a few different caregivers. They could make sure the training is consistent through the caregivers. It comes down to the personalities of the caregivers.
It's really individual. Not all caregivers are the same, and some are better than others. It's a matter of finding the fit caregiver wise.

I think they should give their caregivers hygiene classes because one of the caregivers that I rode with in their car was very dirty, I did not feel very comfortable.
I wouldn't recommend them but the last two people they sent were very dirty.

They regularly check up on my mom. Without that, we would have to make drastic changes. They have also been remarkable and made many recommendations to increase her care.

They could reduce the amount of turnover for staffing. The facility he is at requires that he receives extra care. The care allowed us to avoid a disruptive incident. My dad has dementia, so he needs more steady care than a lot of turnover.
