They could have more cleaning services that they offer.

There are times when the agency does not have a replacement for when a caregiver calls out. My mom likes most of the caregivers and they are very professional.

They have taken me to appointments, and they care for me after surgeries. There were other issues that no one realized that caused me to go back to the hospital.

Some days I can get up and walk around, and it makes me feel safer to get meals and get clean like I need to and they provide me companionship because I get lonely.
I already recommend people. I like the 24 hour support line. I have had a wonderful experience with the aides they send me and the office is easy to talk to and they are professional.

The caregiver has helped a whole lot. The caregiver has helped the most by taking the client for a walk so he can get some exercise like his physician needs him to. It's a good match.
I am not sure what the agency needs to improve on. We haven't really had too many issues. Communication has been good. I love that they have good communication skills, whether it is the office or the nurse.

The most is really having an aid come in once a week, and it has helped me out a lot.

The caregivers helped the most with making sure my mother didn't get up out of bed by herself and escorting her to the bathroom since she is a fall risk.
I particularly liked that they could take services in spite of a COVID diagnosis. I liked that we could call them at the last minute and they were able to send somebody right away or to halt services right away due to hospitalization or anything like that. They were very flexible and attentive.

The services were at a time when the client was in her final stages of life. We wanted her to be pain-free in her last hours of life. We needed there to be medication administered at certain times all throughout the night and the aide failed to do that twice. The medicine was already prepared, she just needed to give it to her.
The caregivers could follow instructions better.

I live by myself, and I'm old. The lady that comes has made signification improvements in my quality of life. She has transformed my place into a liveable place.

The fact that I'm in a wheelchair changes so many things in my life that I cannot do. My caregiver does them for me.
They are very responsive and they are well organized. My aide appears and is very good at what she does. She is responsible and her connection with the company is good.

We used Care Advantage's service for just 5 days. They came in from 7pm to 7am and then we had a friend come in and watch my dad during the day. One night they didn't have anybody to come, they said nobody can get there 'till 11 and I said, "What if he's totally bedridden or something, you can't just leave him for 4 hours with nobody there" but they didn't send anybody, and they said they didn't have anybody to send. I said, "You can't do that to people. I have a contract with you from 7pm to 7am." So in other words, we won't use them again. The billing was okay although they tried to bill me for those 4 hours that nobody showed up. I haven't paid the bill yet but I'm not going to pay those 4 hours. It was basically like a sitter, a caregiver who come in overnight just so my dad wasn't by himself. A couple recommend them to me and they were the least expensive which, I guess that's why. The caregiver herself was good. I always had a good experience with her but I would say that the Care Advantage was not dependable. I'm not going to use them again.

We hired Care Advantage - Mechanicsville for my dad. Dad likes the caregiver, she's really sweet, really kind to my dad, and does exactly what we ask her. She comes a few days a week and does light housework, makes him breakfast and lunch, and hangs out with him.

My sister works a full time job but she has to help me sometimes because they don't have enough nurses to cover if someone cant make it.
I would like them to improve their communication skills. They don't communicate with the clients or each other. They need to have nurses who can fit well with the client and their needs.

I call and the phone rings many times before they answer, which is my biggest complaint.

I think they can be better trained. One lady that came in didn't even have a high school diploma.
Most of the caregivers that they have sent have problems remembering my instructions. Two of them couldn't even cook.

The care they gave was wonderful, once they got here. We had difficulties with scheduling, though. When we called them they always said that they weren't sure when the caregivers would come. They said that they'd call us and let us know, but I had to call them.
