They provided 24/7 home health aides, tracked the visiting nurse care provided by Medicare and arranged for care to continue without interruption when those benefits ran out, coordinated with visiting rehabilitation providers, scheduled and transported him to doctor's appointments, etc. They took care of everything he needed except those few things I did. I continued with my regular responsibilities and was able to relax because the aides were always there when they were supposed to be and I always knew what was pending, what had been done, what was needed. The aides, of course, are the most important part of the equation. I found them to be professional, kind, and caring. My uncle is not an easy man to care for at this point, but, he is getting good care. The aides help him with his medication, make sure he eats and eats as close as possible to what the doctor wants, and keep him and his environment as clean as they possibly can.
