Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

Right now, I am only having my laundry done once a week. It is not a huge thing, but it is what I need to have done. I could probably do it if I had to.
It is very convenient. I am living in a facility and I can get done what I need to get done.

The caregiver makes sure he has his lunch and is taken care of whenever I need to leave, especially ensuring that he doesn't walk out the house since he has dementia.
I haven't had any issues calling them and getting any answers or help when I need, so I'd recommend them.

My dad is in a care home with dementia; and the caregiver who comes to him has been a source of comfort and friendship for him.
The caregiver is perfectly matched for him; and the other staff members are very responsive and quick to get back to me if I need anything.

It helps to have someone here so we're able to go around in the house and get some things done or just rest. It's also harder because it seems like some people you end up keeping track of and picking up after them.
We haven't had them that long. The people that come out sometimes don't follow through with what needs to be done.

I feel that the agency has helped us the most by having caregivers who are familiar with Alzheimer's patients and can care for them.
The caregiver that we had, in the beginning, was different but the caregiver we have now is good.

They send me a caregiver that helps me with everything in the house. She is super attentive and helps with everything from cleaning to cooking and more.

They give us a lot of flexibility. There are times when we're not available to take him places so they do that for us.
The caregiver is very good, she is attentive. The people that set things up were very good. They spent time, they didn't rush us.

She uses them for medication reminders so without them she wouldn't be taking the medication regularly.
They could be more consistent with when they say they are going to come to the room. They are supposed to come between 9:00-9:45 but they sometimes show up at 7:00 and other times at 11:00.

She's very frail, so her ability to take her garbage out and get laundry done is limited. It helps me knowing she won't fall while doing that.
Their communication and billing could improve. They need to mail me the invoice and not my mother. It took a long time to get that set up.

I had put to dishes away in the correct places behind her. The caregiver doesn't come at the times that we agreed upon.
My caregiver half vacuums around things and uses the Swiffer even when the thing keeps falling off because she won't put it on correctly. The mop head kept coming loose.

My dad doesn't communicate much. I have someone there to make sure he's safe. My mom will say they don't walk him and just leave him sitting all day.
People don't show up when they're supposed to and don't show on time or at all. They don't call to say they won't show up.

It helps me out. I have had two knee replacements, which is the only reason I don't give him his showers. I want someone strong enough, and that's hard for them to understand. I don't want a skinny girl. She may be old enough and smart enough, but she's not strong enough.
I would recommend them. They do a good job, except when they send me girls that are smaller than I am. The reason I don't give him a bath is because my children don't think I'm strong enough to do so. If he were to fall, I could fall with him. I don't like them sending me people who aren't strong enough to help him in and out of the shower. I've also asked them to send the same person every time, but they always send a different person every time. They don't serve dinner until 5:30, and sometimes, we don't get back until 7:00. The thing I didn't like was the last caregiver would get here at 10 minutes before 7, and I didn't want her there at that time. I only wanted her between 7 and 8. When they're good, they're very good, but when they're bad they're horrible.

I had 24 hour care for him under another private service so Right at Home was something in addition. It was convenient so I made sure that we got what we needed with our long term care policy.
I liked that some of the people they had were very caring, and good caregivers.

I want them to use detergent and fabric softener when they do my laundry. Sometimes they forget, but they've done a good job.

He would do things for that nurse, that he wouldn't do for anyone else. They got him to sleep in a bed, instead of the chair he slept in for years. It improved the quality of his life at least 50%.
We loved the caregiver that we had. They would always stay the full time or longer.
