Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

Roshonda is a care giver for my husband. He has had two strokes, can’t walk, and has dementia. She is wonderful with him. She knows how to talk to him and care for him. She has such a positive personality and helps in many ways. The staff workers are also very helpful in every way.

I was expecting my aide to come yesterday, and she didn't end up coming. The office let me know only thirty minutes before. I had already prepared the house for her to come. They never communicate with me.
The office staff is terrible. They don't call when they say they are going to call.

Sherry provides homecare for my mother. Sherry is always on time, she goes above and beyond. My mother LOVES sherry.
Sherry is on top of every aspect of my mothers care.
If we lost Shery, we would be lost.

They help the most with being a good fill in for my brother and I with my parents so that we can attend to the things that we need to attend. They help them by making sure that they are fed, clothed, and making sure they get their medications. They also keep the house up and go shopping for them.
I like that they try really hard to stay on top of things so that the caregivers will do what we ask them to do.

We only received services for 2 hours. She helped get her off of the floor after she fell.
The caregiver was excellent. She showed up in the morning but then my mother fell and ended up in the hospital.

I'm not able to shower my loved one anymore, and they are able to. There are certain things I can't do anymore.
We get the same caregiver, which is good for my loved one.

If they did more than what they do, it would be good. Some of them just fix small meals and sit there.
To me, it is a lot of money for the little that they do.

Sometimes the scheduling needs to be adjusted and when I go to look at the calendar, it's not correct. I never know if my email has been looked at.
They have been really helpful in working with my husband and me. They are very knowledgeable with the VA and benefits with home care.

I am the power of attorney for Mr. Shirley, and I have no financial gain or loss. I am just a lifelong friend trying to help him. It doesn't impact my life. They are down there helping him, and they try to straighten out any issues they have.
I recommend that they coordinate their caregivers with instructions on a more regular basis. Communication between the caregivers seems to be lacking. When they change shifts, some just walks out and doesn't tell the new person anything.

We have been so fortunate to have found Right At Home (RAH) to help us care for our elderly parent who is unable to live alone. The caregivers are wonderful. They arrive on time, communicate very well with our family, perform light housework as needed, provide transportation to appointments and assists wherever there may be a need. Our primary caregiver has become part of the family and she provides excellent care. She is a tremendous help with the daily care in ensuring there are meals, assists with baths, helping to encourage with any therapy that is being done at home and providing companionship. She provides transportation to medical appointments, grocery store and beauty salon appointments and an occasional meal out together. There are times where we need additional caregivers on the week-ends and overnight and RAH has always been able to meet our needs to provide the most compatible caregivers at those times. RAH has truly been a blessing to our family.

I live 35 miles away, and no one was there with my dad. Early on, we had a problem getting the right lady because they wouldn't show up. When Rebecca started coming, I could depend on her, and she would let me know. I didn't have to run over there every day to check on him.
The last lady was outstanding, and they kept working to make sure that they had a good fit for my dad.

They would help him with clothes and with a bath. Anything that we asked them to do, they were willing to do. We had multiple come in at different times, and there were two that were above the others. They were proactive in things. He had to be reminded to eat slowly.
I think at times they went beyond the call of duty. One time my mother was having chemo in Charlotte, and someone from Right at Home was staying with my dad. We were running late to get back, so someone within the office came over to stay with my dad when the lady's shift was finished so we did not have to worry. At the beginning, not every person that came out was the quality of the last few that we had.

I don't ever have to worry about my father's shift being filled. I know my father's caregivers are always right there with him.
I like the personal attention that is given to us as clients with this company. The owners are always spot-on in checking in on us.

While they are there, I don't have the worries that I usually have. There is someone that is there helping him and I feel safe for him.
They are very diligent. I get calls at my house at night. They are always trying their best to tell us what was going on. Sometimes they send people out that can let us know what is going on.

By far, the best home health care agency in Gaston Co! Bill O. and his staff are a team of people who professionally, compassionately, and holistically serves their client well! They embrace the client and their extended family members with passionate concern, dignity, and care. Bill goes out of his way at any time of the day or night to make himself available if a need arises. He is a business owner who is reachable for questions, concerns, and who appreciates suggestions and input from the families they serve. The caregivers sent to us were quality people who genuinely love their jobs. They treated mom respectfully, allowing her to age at home with independence and integrity. Right at Home was a blessing at a very critical point of need for our family and for especially for mom.

Right at Home is an excellent company. The caregivers that were provided for my brother and his wife were outstanding. They were very professional, caring, and most of all compassionate! The main caregiver, Marie, always went above and beyond to ensure they were happy, safe, and healthy. In addition, they created a special bond with her. We were thankful for the companion care from Right at Home. It gave my Mother the independence she wanted but gave me the satisfaction of knowing she was safe & cared for. Right at home willingly worked with our schedule & needs for my Mother. My Mother came to feel her care giver was a family member & enjoyed outings with her companion.
