Avalon Essential (AE) Home Care is a non-medical home care agency. We offer caregiving services to the elderly and disabled, which include, but are not limited to, personal care, homemaking, errands, companionship, 24-hour care, and live-in care, with no minimum weekly. We are centrally located in Troy and service all Macomb and Oakland counties. We are licensed, bonded, and insured. AE accepts Private Pay, Medicaid, Long-Term Care Insurance, and Workman's Compensation. AE is a proud partner with Area Agency on Aging, The ALS Foundation, MORC, and The Parkinsons Foundation. I have been using Avalon Essential Home Care for a couple of months now. I have an excellent caretaker right now. She just does all the cleaning. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I have to use a walker, so she does most of the housecleaning. I have her for 22-1/2 hours a week. Depending on what her schedule is, she makes me breakfast or if she is here in the evening, she makes me dinner. She gives me her schedule and she's on time. The agency checks up on me. In fact, somebody from the A&E called a couple of days ago.

I have been using Avalon Essential Home Care for just a little over a year now. So far, they've been pretty conscientious, and they do follow up with things that I tell them. They've had some bad luck with their employees, but that's to be expected in any situation. The caregiver seems to be doing good. She cleans the part that I asked her to clean, and she does my hair and the necessary things that I need. No heavy cleaning or anything like that. The agency people would call on a Friday or if they miss Friday, they make sure they call on a Monday and find out how everything has gone and if I have any problems with anything. I really appreciate them. I appreciate the calls that they give me and make sure everything is going OK.

I have been using Avalon Essential Home Care for a couple of years now. The caregiver comes, she gives me a shower, and she cleans. That's two hours three days a week. She is OK. I had no problem. She is always on time. She does her job. There's no complaint. The people at the agency would call, and I would tell that everything is all right.

I think Avalon Essential Home Care is great. They do a great job. They're on time, they do a good job cleaning, and the people are nice. I have been using them for a couple of years now. They do general cleaning, they do the dishes and laundry sometimes, and they help take out the garbage. The caregivers are trustworthy, very nice, and professional. They're a caring and efficient organization.

I have been using Avalon Essential Home Care for three weeks now. I am in a deep depression and they're trying to help me find ways to get out. I need a therapist, but it's difficult especially now because of COVID scare. I can dress myself and fix my meals, but at the moment, their main priority is cleaning. As soon as we clean the place, they help with decluttering and donating.
I have one caregiver on the phone who's trying to do the paperwork and find help for me in other areas, and then another caregiver that I'm working with that that has been to my home three times now, and we get along great. We talk as she cleans. It's a very small place, I live in a studio and so it's easy for us to talk. She shares some of her things and listens to mine. They follow up on Monday. They follow up every single week, sometimes more than once. Sometimes we just sit and talk, and then she gets busy and does cleaning. I had a stroke and a heart attack and a surgery, so I have not done cleaning for going on a year now. In fact, I had my heart attack a year ago and then depression sets in.
We picked out an area and we started with the bathroom. It's depressing when you see that kind of thing, so she is really working on making sure that the floors in each area are very clean. This is helping me because I can actually see the difference, so that lifts my depression as well. She's very friendly, and we just keep on talking, and that keeps me preoccupied as well.

I have been using Avalon Essential Home Care for my mom for eight months now. It's been great. If I have questions, they respond immediately. They always give feedback immediately. My mom had emergency surgery a little over a year ago. She had to have surgery for an ostomy, so she has an ostomy bag. My sister and I were trained at the hospital in how to empty it, burp it, replace it, and that sort of thing, but as far as services from Avalon Essential Home Care, she gets just about everything.
It's a 5-star because of their friendliness on the phone. If you call, they respond immediately or they will call back. If they're unable to answer my question immediately, they'll find someone to answer it, and then immediate feedback. The whole team is very cooperative. If I am in need of anything, they find a way to get it to me.

Avalon Essential Home Care is very good. They're very thoughtful and helpful. They call and make sure things are going well. The person that's helping my sister is pretty good. She's very caring, and she seems to get the job done. My sister is very happy with it. It's mostly housekeeping, laundry, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, and dishes sometimes. My sister is in a wheelchair, so it is easier for someone else to do it if they can, and that's the main thing that the caregiver does. On occasion, the caregiver might be a few minutes late, but that's to be expected. There's no problem with that. They usually have an agent that calls. They'll call me and ask me how things are going or if there are any questions we have or any concerns.

I have been with Avalon Essential Home Care for about two years now. I like the person that they assigned to me. She's very helpful. She gets my laundry done, she vacuums, and she does things like that that I can't do anymore. She has a very good personality. I wouldn't be with them if I didn't like them for that long period. They call me every once in a while to make sure that everything is going okay and how my health is holding out. Sometimes we fill in a different day. She calls the agency and tells them that for some reason she can't make it at 3:30 on a Friday (which is her time and day). She might ask if she can come earlier and get her work done, and it's fine with me because I'm here 24 hours a day and have been almost three years.

I'm using Avalon Essential Home Care. I had a caregiver before that was terrific, but then they hired people that would come one day and quit. They had their bad luck with hiring people. I've had some good ones and some bad ones, and the one I got now is terrific. They help clean the house, they help with the laundry, and then they help with personal care. Lately, they've been doing a better job with communication than they had at the start. They call me more and let me know more than they used to. I don't have any mileage, but I know they are being cut all over from everything. There is no one to run to the store if I need something. I have to hire somebody or get somebody to drive me, but you got to do what you got to do.

I've been using Avalon Essential Home Care for six months now. It has been good. I can always get in touch with them, and I love that. They always are there to answer any questions. My caregiver has been great. She's very caring. She's friendly and very helpful. She just really cares about the way she does stuff. She helps with light housekeeping, washing, vacuuming, cleaning up the floors, and stuff like that. She is always on time.
Avalon Essential Home Care are always there to talk to and explain things thoroughly, and they're always willing to find the best caregiver for you. They don't give up. If one's not working out, they're there to really work with you to find someone that will.

I am now using Avalon Essential Home Care. They're relatively new with me the last couple of months, and I just got a new lady about a month or so ago. I love her. She's really understanding. She's very empathetic. She's just a really lovely person. She cares about me. She cleans, cooks, and basically makes sure I have everything that I need. She makes sure I have something to eat before she goes. She always asks me what I would be having for dinner. She runs to the grocery store for me numerous times. She takes me to my doctor's appointment, which is very important to me because I don't have a vehicle. She is really here for me, and that's what I love about her. The timekeeping works out perfect. I like it. She's here two days a week, Mondays and Fridays, which I like. I like having her here.
The agency is one of the best companies that I ever worked with. It is exceptional. I just really like them. They are here to make sure I'm taken care of, and that's exactly what happens. The caregiver takes very good care of me. I actually look forward to her visit.

I am using Avalon Essential Home Care. It has been good. The caregiver is very nice. We tackle something every week. She comes once a week. She helps me with vacuuming, with washing the floors and carpet, and whatever project we have that day. She's always on time and available, and if she's not, the company calls me. The agency calls me when it's necessary, and sometimes they call me to see how my services are, and I always say great.

I have been using Avalon Essential Home Care for a year now. My experience with them is fine. I have no problem. The caregivers are fine. They're good at everything that they do. They help me with everything. I'm a quadriplegic. They're pretty much like everybody else. They're a company that's going to help you do whatever you got to have done.

I have been using Avalon Essential Home Care for a couple of years now. The person they sent to me is great. She's been with me for the whole two years I've been with them. They're very amicable to work with. If I have a doctor's appointment and need to change her time to come, they'll work in for me. If something comes up where she can't make one day, they make sure that they get her here at another day's time, so that her duties get taken care of.
I've had back surgery, so I'm not able to do a lot of the household chores like mopping, vacuuming, bending over to clean the bathroom, and lifting laundry. The caregiver is very friendly. Usually, if she needs to change her day or something, Avalon Essential Home Care themselves will call me and change the day and change her schedule. They've always been great. The person they sent me is terrific. They are always easy to work with, and there is always someone there if I need them.

I think that All Valley Home Care is an very good choice for someone who is independently living and that would like to live independently in the privacy of their own home and that are seeking some outside supportive care and assistance for them self, a friend, or a family member who are also independently living and need some outside supportive services and assistance when necessary or when needed. All Valley Home Care provides an array of supportive services and assistance to their clients that is tailor fitted to fit each of their individual clients' health care plans of care as needed. They also offer short term hours, respite care, long term care and 24/7 care on a daily basis.
They provide their clients with high tech quality care and provide their clients with an array of skilled and trained health care professionals to provide their clients with the highest of quality care possible for them. They provide their clients with their personal care needs, activities of daily living, meal preparation, housekeeping and laundry chores. In addition to All Valley Home Care provide their clients with assistance in their activities of daily living and transportation to doctor appointments as well. Overall I would rank All Valley Home Care with a five stars rating for their excellence in home care.
