Right at Home provides personalized in-home support and assistance for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our trained companions provide help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation and more. Custom Plans
We know everyone’s needs are different, that’s why we create custom, client-centered support plans based on our unique five-step approach. We take the time to get to know you or your loved one including personal history, daily routines, personal lifestyle and preferences. This is really important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of support and assistance you need and match you with the best companion to help you continue to live successfully at home – or wherever you call home.
Non-Medical Training and Supervision
When you choose Right at Home you can rest assured our companions and homemakers are ready to deliver the support and assistance you or your loved one needs. Every home companion goes through an extensive interview process including background checks. We provide initial training through our Right at Home University before they are able to provide personal assistance, and ongoing training to support best practices. All of our companions are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured. And we routinely check up on our client and companions, making surprise visits just to see how things are going, so that you can feel assured you or your loved one is getting the best support and assistance.

It is very helpful and she probably wouldn't eat breakfast without the care. I am not able to be there every morning and having someone there helps ease my mind.
We have had a number of really good aides but they never seem to last.

Sandra is consistent with her care and is amazing. She is reliable and dependable.
They have very clear communication, and always provide a backup person if someone calls out. They also let us know if someone isn't coming.

They have helped the most being acceptable and flexible. The first two caregivers were too young so they found two caregivers that were closer to my mother's age.
Right at Home came through and worked for me. They scrambled to find somebody to help.

I have nothing negative to say. When I needed someone, they were quick to respond. The cost was just too much for us for twice a week of care.
Right at Home - Wallingford, CT was absolutely wonderful, very efficient, pleasant, and they were all trained very nicely.

We have 24 hour care, so they live with my loved one. The caregiver is very good but he's very young. He's trying to communicate a little more. There isn't as much companionship because the caregiver is young and the client is in his 90's.
They're very attentive. We've used them for probably seven years now between my mom and dad and have never felt the need to go anywhere else. There can be a learning curve, but they're very amiable to our needs for the most part.

My daily life as it is now, she stays with me 7 days a week. They keep in contact with their clients and caregivers that are under their care. Which I was surprised, a lot of agencies don't keep that contact, I like that and like to see that.
That's not an all inclusive type statement because they come and go with the maturity of the aids.

I like the caregiver. We lucked out and got a wonderful caregiver. I also like that they have a nurse that does a checkup once a month.

The caregiver makes a night and day difference for us. The caregiver provided exceptional care and an all around good service.

The agency could have made things less expensive. But I can't think of anything else.
I liked how they vetted the employees better than some other agencies that I had. Their supervisor stayed in close contact with you as well.

I've liked the level of care that we get from them. I couldn't manage without them. It makes it, so I'm free to go out and go to the bank and grocery store.
I like that as our needs change and the days we need caregivers change, they've been able to provide care and are flexible.

It is helpful to have that three-hour block but I only wish that I could divide up the hours because they don't have a lot to do in three hours.
They just supply me with caregivers to care for my father.

I don't need someone to come and sit with my mom. I can do that myself.
They need to improve on training the caregivers better. I expect a CNA to know how to put a pamper on and how to sit them up in bed.

The quality of the people that they are hiring could be better. Their screening for people that are well trained could have been better.
They needed to be able to quickly find someone to care for my mother over the weekend. A lot of the people weren't certified as CNAs or PTAs. They seem like a very professional organization, but a lot of people weren't certified.

My sister and I can work and go on vacation. We don't have to worry. It keeps my mom home. Whoever does this work deserves a huge salary. We were able to go out of town for a while.
The can improve the quality of the people. Happy was leaving and we were scared about who they were going to send. They were going to send a fill in that we had before, she had fallen asleep on the couch. She didn't do much.

I can't get up from my chair, so the caregiver gets me things.
Sometimes the person I have will come late and leave early. Sometimes it doesn't matter because I'm not ready for them or we're all done, but I'd like to have that time if I'm paying for it.

We know that my aunt is difficult to deal with, but they give us peace of mind that she is able to stay in her home with someone there all the time.
They are easy to work with, and they follow up with everything. They tell us if the caregiver is getting time off. They are very efficient.

I have been happy with the individual who comes to my house. I like that I have the same person for nearly two years, which is rare in this kind of job.

We hired Right at Home for my dad. My dad’s situation changed suddenly and we needed instant care. We were impressed with the people we interviewed. They were able to step up within 24 hours and provide somebody to help us. They’re doing 24-hour care seven days a week. We have one live-in caregiver. She is working very well. She does basic ADL, light housekeeping and most importantly keeping my dad on tasks because of his dementia. She basically keeps him safe. His health has gotten better, so he is able to do more and more, and so what she has to do is basically just monitor him. We’re very satisfied.

Celina of RAH is an efficient caring young woman. She arrives promptly each morning, greets you with a smile and proceeds to meet your needs. She is perceptive without being intrusive. She has helped me to become more relaxed about my current state of health. She has helped me also to be upbeat!
