Right at Home Colorado Springs provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home Colorado Springs, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

In the hour that the caregiver is here, she takes care of everything that needs to be done like getting the trash or feeding her.
The aide is always on time every day, and very compassionate and understanding with my mother-in-law's age.

He couldn't walk and he needed to be changed, so they did that piece of it, and he felt loved by people that he knew. That was so important for us to be able to have that in the home as well.
I liked the CNAs. They were fabulous! Once we got started, we had the consistency of having three or four CNAs coming in, and that was very important for my dad because he had dementia. They were caring and knowledgeable as well.

I think it has worked out well. I think they did not want to impose on my mother-in-law so some areas could have been cleaned better.
They could improve overall cleaning capability. We originally set it up for cleaning and companionship. They have been responsive to most everything.

She makes everything look so easy. I do little things before she comes, and she comes in and is busy all the time.
She is quite a gal. She is a worker, cleaner, and took me out one day for lunch and I returned the favor today. We were celebrating our birthdays.

I couldn't bend because of my surgery. They washed my bedsheets, laundry. They were so delightful and very helpful and very willing.
I liked that they sent wonderful people, and they were very clear of what they could and couldn't do.

She has dementia so she needs someone with her 12 hours a day so I am not concerned that she is going to fall or get up by herself.
I liked the way they keep in touch with me and they let me know if there are changes in caregivers or delayed and they send copies of the billing.

They are very good about keeping me supplied with a caregiver when I need it. When I have any extra shifts or need anything extra to go to, they have always supplied me an extra caregiver to go to. I am very grateful for their service, they have never left me high and dry.

I came home from work and I saw the client walking down the street and the caregiver was long gone.
I would not recommend this agency to anyone. I think that all the discipline they gave Bert was probably just a slap on the wrist. She is in charge of billing.

I get three meals. They arrive at 8am and are gone by 1pm. They could walk the dog.
Whoever they send must be a very good cook. They have to take into account my very bad hearing. It's sometimes hard to communicate.

They helped me with heavy stuff like detergent and heavy supplies for my car.
For the most part, the people were able to do the tasks. They were physically fit, as requested, but there was one person they sent who came and looked at my garbage after I told her to take it out. She told me that she wasn't sure if she could do that. I guess I should have called the agency to tell them that they sent me someone who couldn't do the most basic task. I was pretty much mobile by then. I had to go out on the porch and explain to her where the garbage was. I decided to help her. When it was time for her to do the dishes, she kept criticizing me. She would ask me if there was a reason that I had to do things that way. I told someone from the company to please not send her again. I like to pre-wash my dishes by hand before I put my dishes in the dishwasher. I instructed her what to do. The bending motion causes strain in my back. She was just sitting on a chair in my dining room. She told me that she had another suggestion for me. I told her that she should give fewer suggestions and stop sitting and get to work. She was angry with that, and she left.

We really like Right at Home we have used other companies before and after a few problems we switched to Right at Home. My family member has dementia and she can be very confused and upset at times. Recently we had a new caregiver come by, a short girl named Shirley we loved her! My family member was all smiles and really happy. Thank you Right at Home Shirley treated my family member with respect and was so kind and sweet. She knew how to speak to my family member and to help ease her anxiety. You can tell she has a lot of experience with dementia care and this was what we wanted! We don’t want someone who is clueless so meeting Shirley was great. She cleaned up and cooked and made sure my family member was cleaned up and fed. The best part is she stayed focused on my family member and talked about music and the weather and old time favorite television shows. I thank you all! It was so nice seeing her so happy. She was very upset when Shirley had to go, we will be requesting her the next time we need care in our home.
