The only thing he gets is therapy once a week. He would like more care.

The only thing is that everything has to be done according to schedule.
I've had them for decluttering, so they have intervals they work, and it'd be better if they could shorten it and stretch out the services a little more.

The agency could qualify the person before sending them out because Donna did not know that I had a wheelchair. She did not know what she was supposed to do.

The agency allows me to continue working full-time while my wife receives care. I also don't feel I'd be able to provide this care on my own.
They're very responsible. If a caregiver isn't able to come, they notify us and find someone to substitute. The caregivers have understood what my wife needs and are respectful

Before I was out of the hospital, I couldn't walk long before needing to rest. Having people come to the house to help me move was helpful.
I like the fact that they exist.

My caregivers helped me the most mainly with daily tasks.
I liked that they were quite flexible. I had 2 nurses that were very nice and professional. The case worker I was with was in touch with me. It was very easy to get in contact with them.

They are really clear with their caregiver as far as knowing the schedule and there is training and insurance, and they are easy to deal with. I felt confident that they were running things in the background.
The best thing is that I feel like I really got someone that was perfect for my dad. I'm not sure if that was luck or them being able to find the perfect match.

It's unfortunate that we've had such a bad experience with this company.
The first assigned staff person quit.
The second assigned staff person was late on more than one occasion, or even didn't show up entirely for their scheduled shift.
The third staff person took a personal call during her shift for an hour. My aunt then had to go through the JFS billing department several times to make sure we were credited appropriately. (At this point, I'm still not sure if that has been resolved.)
Lastly, the third staff person was not sufficiently trained in managing the needs of elder clients.
Would not recommend.

It helps a lot. They are there to answer our questions and provide the services that he needs help with. They send out someone to help him clean for 4 hours a week.
They are always checking in and are very careful about who they send. They always let me know who is coming.

There are really no words to describe how great it has been. It is fantastic. A lot of the care is psychological. Sylvia is basically considered a family member by us and Helen.
We have had a few other caregivers and they have all been good, however our primary caregiver is fantastic and has been with us for a few years.

I'm very satisfied with them. What I appreciate is that they call me every so often to see how things are going. They show me that they care.
I heard from one of the caregivers that sometimes the office isn't as nice as they could be. They're not mean to me but to the caregivers sometimes. Maybe the aides would stay longer if they were treated kindly. Other people may not be interested in the agency because they're Jewish, also.

I have two different caretakers. I like them both, and they have been with me for many months. One of them runs errands for me and then comes back and prepares food for me. If we have a little extra time, she does housekeeping for me, since I don't have a housekeeper yet. The other helps me bathe. She is very sweet, generous with her time, and there is never a problem. I like them both very much.
JFS Care has been working with me for about a year now. Sometimes they send a caretaker out, but we don't click. I tell the agency, and they look until they find someone great for me. The only reason I lose the great ones, is because they had a better job opportunity or something.
