Very agrivated they can't even keep track of my mothers needs...simple things like keeping batteries in her hearing aids and that she has them in her ear. 3000 a month for nothing more than three hots and a cot...might as well be in jail. …can smell the piss just walking through the halls

The Pines at Heartwood was good. The rooms were a very good size; they're actually the largest rooms that I saw. There weren't private rooms, which is fine because they were a good size and well equipped. I thought the place looked good and comfortable. They had extensive activities planned throughout the day.

The rooms at The Pines at Heartwood are a little small, but very clean. The staff are very friendly. Their dining area looked very nice. I was very pleased with the visit at the facility. The residents looked very happy and they were busy doing activities. Overall, it’s a very happy environment. The only thing we wished is that the rooms were a little bigger, but other than that, the place is very nice.

My mother is going into The Pines. If I had to rate them on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give them a 12. They were very cordial and very nice during all three times that I was there. Every time that I called and left a message, they returned my phone call within a timeframe that was best for me. I can't say anything bad about them. The place was very clean. It was very homey looking. I loved the kitty cat; I thought that was fantastic. We went in two or three times and even the people who were staying there are calling that their home now. The rooms were very nice. You do share a room with somebody, which I think is fantastic. People might say they want to be alone, but I think that having a partner in the room with you is fantastic because as we get older, we don't want to be alone. Just looking over at somebody and knowing that they are there is comforting. The first time that I went there, they were out to lunch. They gave me a calendar of their activities and they also told me that there was one up on the wall. They start out at 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. doing Tai-chi. They also have Bingo, movie nights, happy hour, going to the track, and everything. I should go there myself. I was very, very pleased.
