Since the founding of the original Good Samaritan Home, we’ve been helping older adults live well and maintain their personal dignity by caring for their medical, social, and spiritual well being. We value the spirit of individuality that resides within each one of us. Our ministry is founded on the understanding that when a person chooses to make their home in this community, they are changing where they live, not who they are. We celebrate cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all of it’s forms, supporting our residents’ freedom to live their lives in a way they see fit, while helping them maintain a healthy relationship with their community.

Delmar Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing was very pleasant and the surroundings were very nice. The rooms were very nice and the people were very accommodating. The person that showed us around and the admissions office was very good and very helpful. The dining room was also nice. The only problem was it would have to be self-pay and we couldn't do that. So, that was the only setback.

My father was in the Good Samaritan Lutheran Home. I had to go in and clean his room. I cleaned his windows. I moved stuff around and cleaned behind everything. It wasn't that clean. It smelled and needed updates. There were things that were broken when we got there that never got fixed, and he was there for almost a year. The dining room was good; it was satisfactory -- I mean, it worked. It wouldn't be good, but it would be satisfactory for him. The rooms were very dingy and dull -- nothing bright and airy. They were all painted in dark colors, and the bathrooms were old.
