My dad moved into Rosewood on the Sound assisted living. It's very clean, they're very attentive, the meals are good for him, they have outings, and there's a doctor on the premises so I have no complaints. His room is very clean. He has a bathroom, a TV, bed, a dresser, and a closet. He has a lock on his room if he wants to lock the door. It's very nice. They do crafts and movie nights, they do take-out from restaurants, and I believe, they have a walking club where they take them on walks if you can walk. The value is average, we pay about $4,000 a month.

Amazing staff they really care for the residents. The food is very good. The best part of it all is the grounds and how much they care for each resident individually.

Rosewood on the Sound helped my family more than you could imagine. We were so lost and confused and they help us with every step of the way. The staff there streets my mom like a queen and the accommodations are spectacular. Thank you!!!! Highly recommended

Such a fantastic facility! They take excellent care of the residents, the staff is warm and friendly and were so accommodating. We looked at multiple facilities nearby and none were as modestly priced as Rosewood for the quality they provide. It’s right on the Long Island Sound and has such a great serene atmosphere.

Rosewood on the Sound is a very nice place the first time I visited, and they have a lot of activities. But when I went again at nighttime, the kitchen was really dirty, there was food and stuff on the floor, and the patients were just wondering around. I decided not to go to that place. The pricing is good, but then they have all these hidden fees. The grounds are not the greatest because they just have a little table in the yard.

The staff here are extremely rude and unfriendly. I was shocked to talk with someone named Lois and another one Jennifer on the telephone and they were just completely inappropriate and rude. No basic manners. Rough, mean, cruel, treacherous people answering the phone. I didn't even get to take a look at the place. I am told place has new owners who must be complete amateurs to hire the people they have working the phones. Hopefully these people don't get anywhere near the residents.

My mother has been a resident of this facility for about 5 months. She has early onset Alzheimers and has been bounced from home to hospital to home. This is the first place where I have had any peace of mind about her care. The staff there is EXCELLENT. Truly so caring, responsive, warm and welcoming. You can tell that they care for the residents so much. Everyone is easily reachable and so responsive. They welcome me and my sisters whenever we come to visit, even offering us snacks and meals if we are there when the residents are being served. They are warm and caring towards all of the residents. The administrator is top notch and quick to address ANY concerns (of which there are few!). They keep you up to date on everything that is going on with your loved one. Finally - their psychiatrist is phenomenal. For my mom's condition, this has been a godsend. I would highly recommend this facility. It is far from my home and was meant to be temporary because of that - but we love the care they give my mother that we have decided to make this her permanent home. As a bonus the facility is right on the water with lovely little paths all around the grounds to explore.

We did find Jones Manor on The Sound for my friend. They were very pleasant; they gave me a tour. They let me talk with some of the staff there. The people seem to be caring and attentive. Some of their staff is local. There were 10 residents playing some kind of a competitive game, and they were involved and really interested. The bedroom was a double bed for 2 people or 1 person; it’s very simple, but it’s very clean. I like the whole place because it’s very clean and very attractive with the decoration and the color. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The location is nice; they have different terraces where people can look at the seas or they have little gardens. If they don’t want to look at the water, they can look at the plants.

Jones Manor is clean and new, and they have friendly people up there. I talked to the people that are staying there, and they seem to be very happy. They are doing some constructions, but hopefully by the summer, they will be done. It is accessible when you need to walk into town. They have activities like sing-alongs and bingo. My friend likes it and thought it was the best place for him because he will be close to his son. To me, it is basically the same except it is better for him because the people are still able to walk around. You didn't see people that are very disabled, and they are still more self-sufficient.

It is Jones Manor on the Sound, and it is for my mom. It is fine. It is simple and not fancy, but they take care of my mother. She has been there for a couple of years. There was a change in ownership, so I was just concerned, and I wanted to look at options. There doesn't seem to be any problem. I became quickly more comfortable with the new management. I really wasn't looking actively for her to move. I was just considering options in case the management proved to be totally different in what had been there before. They were different, but in a better way. I was satisfied with the facility before, but they are actually better now. The rooms are simple and semi-private, but clean. She shares a room. The food is fine. Everything is very basic, but there is plenty of food, and I see this when I usually visit or when she's having a meal. They have a full schedule of activities from Monday to Friday and sometimes on Saturday. Basically Sunday is when people have visitors or are taken out, but Monday to Friday they have a full schedule of activities.
