My mom will be moving into Garrett Woods. It is beautiful and everyone is very nice. I have no problems communicating. I have dealt with the maintenance people, the nurse, the director and the assistant; they're all very nice. Right now, they are remodeling the room so they have put down new flooring and it has been repainted. They are putting the finishing touches on it. You can also pick and choose what amenities you want. Like my mom wants me to do her laundry of her clothes, but they will laundry her linens and her towels, they will clean her room, they will give her a shower three times a week, and they will administer her medications. They have a beauty shop there, too. The dining area is clean.

As daughter's with a 89 year old mother that requires Assisted Living each day finding a caring place for our mother was our families TOP priority. As we entered the front door to visit Garrett Woods our experience with the facility and staff was outstanding. Instantly my mother and my family felt that we had found a senior living community that felt like "HOME". We moved in a week later and my sister and I could tell that my mother was so happy we could not believe it! She was smiling and eating again and the staff made sure her hydration was on track daily. From homemade pies ( Oh, and they are so good), along with fresh good tasting breakfast, lunches, and dinner with alternate choices if necessary with food allergies. She has now gaining the weight to keep her strong and healthy. Also, she is so busy with planned activities everyday that are designed to fit her skills that when visiting her we can hardly find her in her room but out and about happy and active. Garrett Woods Assisted Living is the REAL DEAL!! With newly updated apartments that are clean, cute, and resident friendly and totally suited to meet her needs it is just truly perfect. All the staff is so polite when addressing my mother calling her by name, making her feel welcome, at home , and most of all respected ! The Administrator, Nursing Staff, CNA's, Housekeeping, Activity Director's, Maintenance, and Food Service Staff all work together to support the needs of the residents and are truly glad that you have chosen Garrett Woods to live. There is no shortage of staffing to meet her needs and no short cuts in any area for assistance. I had heard a comment from management that was so true to a staff member, "you work here for your shift daily and then go to your home, but the residents live here all the time 24/7 and this is their home and we will make sure they are taken care of and safe like family ALL the time".......I loved the comment and it is true. It does not get any better than Garrett Woods believe me. I hope you find this facility as wonderful as I have and make it your new home for your loved family member, best wishes.

I moved my mom here after I relocated to Hot Springs about 6 months ago. She came from another Asst. Living facility. Garrett has been great to work with and made the move easy. They worked to get all her paper work transferred, Changing her Doctor, Pharmacy and insurance coverage. The rooms have been recently remodeled and are very clean and comfortable. The maintenance staff was good good about making a couple of changes we needed to make her more comfortable. From Day 1 the staff has made her feel at home. The nursing Staff, the CNA's, Housekeeping, Kitchen Staff and all the others have taken great care of her. The Pride the staff has in their jobs and the true care they feel for the residents shows everyday. The Activities director does a great job keeping her busy and involved. She has never been happier or better cared for in Asst. Living.

I moved my uncle to Garrett Woods on the Saturday before Easter. It was the only place that wasn't trying to sell me something. They told me what they could do, and I didn't talk to the sales people when I went in. I talked to the head nurse at the assisted living side, and she showed me the whole facility. They've been wonderful and helped my uncle with all kinds of stuff. They have a wonderful activities director, and the people in the front office are helpful with anything. They've all been exceptional. The cost was less than a lot of other places. My uncle has a one-bedroom with a bathroom ad a small kitchen, and they come in to clean it every week. It's nice and I like it. I would live there.
