I didn't like Cedar Grove Assisted Living at all. It was almost like being in a nursing home. The rooms were outdated. It didn't feel homey, and they had shared bathrooms. There was just part of it we didn't like and to share a bathroom was one of them. There were a lot of people sitting in the hallway that look like nursing home patients, not senior living patients. We didn't want my father-in-law in a nursing home, we want him in an assisted living. They were telling me the rooms were painted. The room may have been painted, but the floor was old tiled as they use in the hospital or nursing home. It did not feel homey whatsoever and it was very outdated. The people who toured us virtually were very friendly and very nice, but when I looked at the place, it was not what I was imagining. I just went to the two rooms, so I don't know the whole layout.

My grandmother lives here. For what she can afford, they take good care of her. Her room is very small but the building is kept very clean. They have activities most days and the food is very good. The staff nurses are conscientious. I would say most employees have their heart in it.

Cedar Grove was more of a nursing home, not assisted living. It was not appropriate for my father. The location was nice, but the inside was not that nice. The staff members were very nice, but when you walk in, you could tell it was a nursing home. My father would have had to stay in a very small room with another individual and share a bathroom down the hall. For what they were charging, it was absolutely ridiculous. I didn't notice any activities other than a lot of people sitting at the tables that were set out in the hallway.

Cedar Grove was a nice place for what you pay for, clean, and had a lot of tiled floors. I was there twice. The staff was extremely nice, spent time with me, showed me the place, and answered anything I asked.

I visited Cedar Grove Assisted Living. The staff seemed very friendly. I enjoyed the smiles. I heard laughter coming from the activity area. I was pleased.

The reason why we didn’t want to put Mother in Cedar Grove was because the rooms weren’t big enough. There was just enough room to put a bed, a dresser, a TV, and a chair, and for that, $2,000 a month was too high. They have a cafeteria, a dining room, and things for them to do.

Used to be a much better place...never perfect, but close. New management. has not improved. They made it worse. Turnover on workers is so fast you may never seen the same girl or guy twice
