My mother moved into the Wyngate Senior Living. The person in charge was easy to find, very accommodating, and when I left, I felt like this is the place where my mother could enjoy being. They have private rooms, the staff is available, and I could see them, so I felt that if I needed something, I could find them. They have different levels of care, so we pay depending on the amount of care she needs, and they mix the memory care with the general population. The dining room is bright, some residents were sitting there chatting, and water, coffee, and lemonade, are available all day. If they serve her, they always ask if we want food too, and they're more than glad to serve us what my mother is getting, which I think is extremely unusual. I've been impressed with the staff, I can tell by the way they addressed my mother that they spend time with her, it's really a very caring community, and the atmosphere is just comforting for me. One of the activity areas is right outside the nurse's station at the end of the hall where my mother is, and they're either painting, or a priest comes and says mass, and when I was there, there were children that came in to sing. I wish my mother could do those things. I'm delighted they can provide the level of care my mother needs.

My grandma was diagnosed with Lou Gherig's disease and swiftly declined in health. My grandpa was in great health but no longer had the physical ability to take care of her. As apprehensive as they both were, by grandma moved into Wyngate in order to make her last days more comfortable. She survived another seven months during which she spent about 90% of her time there. The staff were amazingly helpful to her. They gave her more freedom/flexibility in her early days and slowly increased their assistance as her abilities began to decline. They did everything in their power to ensure she was comfortable, both mentally and physically. She consistently had the same nurses and care takers which also helped in making the place more homey. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating to her visitors, whether it be a short visit by a grandchild, or my grandpa's frequent overnight stays when he was just too exhausted (physically and emotionally) to drive home. The food staff were wonderful and maintained a well rounded menu with great variety. She loved ordering French toast on Saturdays! All of our family was very impressed and satisfied with their care. We were especially honored to have her caretakers pay their respects at the funeral and to have them share their own memories of her. I would absolutely recommend them.
