I toured Grace Commons. It was an excellent, high-end, impressive facility. They had a spectacular dinner area for breakfast, dinner, and supper. Their common areas were very accommodating. They were very nice, with a fireplace in one of them, and a kitchen stove in another one. They're very clean places, and looked like they were very well run. I didn't work with a lot of staff, I just worked with Melissa. I haven't really intermingled with any of the other staff members, but I met the nurse at Grace Commons, the one that does the evaluation of the patients. They were accommodating. I didn't try the food, the menu looked great, the food looked great, and they've got a chef that cooks it. The facilities were fantastic. The grandness of the place as you walk in is eye catching. At the time we were there, they had a bunch of people in the common area playing bingo.

I went to Grace Commons. The facility is beautiful, it's new, and the people we talked with were very informative. We got a lot of questions answered; it was really a good place to start because they were very honest in answering our questions. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Clearly all the people who were on the staff cared for the residents. It was very obvious just in watching their interactions when we were there. The rooms were beautiful, very nice, very updated, and they're brand new. They kept a lot of things in mind as far as mobility goes, which was what we're looking for, with my mom being in a walker. They have a couple different varieties of rooms, but we're looking more for apartment-type units. It was large, but not so large she wouldn't be able to handle it. It had a kitchen, adequate storage, and other storage, so the storage was great. They are offering food, and they did have people actually eating. The food was great. They showed us the menus that they have and introduced us to the chef. Everybody was socially distanced, but because they're only sixty-percent full right now, they were able to get people in a little bit more than some of the other facilities that are a little bit bigger with more people. They have several movie theaters and several exercise rooms where they lead them through sitting on chairs. There were puzzles, and there was a schedule of different activities that they came up with based on requests from residents. They have their Friday happy-hour room, a hair salon, a therapy room, and for people like my mom who have arthritis, they have a therapy tub.
