When I visited Encompass Healthcare & Assisted Living they knew nothing about the tour and the director wasn't there. They said it was because it was Labor Day. I called the following Tuesday and left a message for the director, but he never called back. It was a totally disappointing experience; a complete waste of time. Another staff member showed me around, but it wasn't a very big place; it was small. The apartments were large and very nice. The staff member who helped me was quite accommodating, and their dining area was OK, but still very small; everything was small. The place was homey and struck me as very clean. They also had quite an array of puzzles, games and activities, and craft items. I was surprised that they had quite a large supply of that.

Encompass Healthcare & Assisted Living is wonderful as far as the care of my dad. The house is always clean. They are short staffed occasionally, but they're trying to remedy that. He's very happy there. They're kind and give him good home-cooked meals. The place is always spotless when you walk in. It's not a fancy place, but I couldn't ask for a better place for him. They have morning exercise, church on Sundays, and bingo.

Encompass (Encompass Healthcare & Assisted Living) was good. The staff was very nice. The rooms seemed kind of small, but they were clean. It just seemed like a really nice place overall. Some of the residents there were playing cards and arts and crafts. They have a salon and chapel.

My mother is in Encompass. It is the right place, and it is what she needs. She likes it there. They have been very good to mom. Mom can be difficult at times, and they have been pretty patient with her. I really don't have any complaints except that I have a little trouble with follow up. They don't call me as often as I think they should. She has some behavior problems and some short-term memory loss, and she gets a little feisty sometimes. We had an incident last week that I just accidentally happened to figure out what was going on, but they didn't call and let me know. That is the only negative thing; they didn't communicate with me often enough about what they observe. Otherwise, they have been patient with her, and she doesn't have any complaints.

My mother lived at this facility for 3+ years and I have nothing but the best things to say about how well the staff of Encompass Healthcare treated her. The loving care she received was more than we ever hoped for. Every staff member truly cared about my mother and wanted her to be happy. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone seeking assisted living placement for their loved ones!
