We moved our family member from a large, eye-appealing, highly-talked up assisted living facility only to find that residents were forgotten, not known by staff and not well taken care of. We found Waterford at Hartford, a much smaller assisted living facility that doesn't have the eye appeal. We are so happy we made the move to Waterford at Hartford. What's important is the care the resident gets.
Waterford at Hartford has a responsive management team and a staff that knows our family member by name, knows their health needs and most important, takes the time to care for our family member at the level of care she needs. The staff communicates with one another and that makes such a difference in the care rendered. Our family member's mental attitude has increased, giving her a reason to enjoy her daily life all because the staff cares and loves the residents.
Again, we are so glad we found Waterford at Hartford. A small town assisted living facility giving loving care.

The care and activities
Are great. We were
Concerned about her
Care being we always
Took care of her. The staff is so kind and helpful they give her plenty of activities to do. My mother has told us so many times
She just loves it there.
They take trips, yr round and gets them out. When she gets sick they keep us informed and advises us. They always make sure she get 3 meals aday. She likes being
Busy and associating
With people, and there
Is plenty of that. So thanks to The Waterford @Hartford
And their staff for doing what you do so well .

The Waterford at Hartford was newly renovated, but it still needs a lot of updating. It was very dark in the hallways and the dining area. I was not overly impressed with it. The facility was clean, but the overall feeling when you walked in was very dark. I wasn't impressed with the staff. They didn't know we were coming for some reason, even though it was scheduled. So we were there for 15 minutes before anyone came and asked if they could help us. The staff was running back and forth. They were taking some of the residents out to go shopping or whatever, which I thought was awesome. But they just never acknowledged that you were there, even though we were just sitting right there in the open. She kind of rushed us through the facility. I didn't see any residents around. I looked at their board, and they were supposed to be having activities, but nothing was going on. It was not a good experience for us.

My dad used to live here several years ago. He loved the food and I had lots of meals with him which were free for me. I went in to visit a friend of mine who moved in a couple weeks ago and WOW they made made a ton of updates. The place looks great. A lot of the same people work there which was nice to see - many of them remembered me too which reinforced I picked a great place for my dad. If you are looking around this place is the only place you need to see.

The Waterford at Hartford looks very nice, it looks like it's a new one. Carla showed me around where they have assisted living. She was very pleasant. I'd seen a group of men that were playing cards. She did show me one room, but she said there's no vacancies still. The room is OK. The grounds and buildings are all very pleasant.

Even though my mother does not participate. I’m very happy with the availability of things available to her. The extra patience during this pandemic is very appreciated. This is a wonderful place for your elderly loved one. The residents are as wonderful as the staff. Thank you Waterford of Hartford for having my mom. She is so close to me! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The Waterford at Hartford is run down. The outside looked fine, but the inside looked old and dingy. It needed some care. The staff was friendly. The dining area also needed to remodeled. They had a big fair going on outside the building when I was there. They need to clean up their facility.

We found The Waterford for mother, and she's been there for about 4 weeks. The staff is very friendly, the apartments are very nice, she is in a shared room, and they share a common bathroom and a kitchenette. The grounds were nice, they've got good views, there's a little marsh area, and there's easy access off the road. You can take them outside for walks. She has no complaints with the food, and I think the food is pretty good. The pricing is in the norm in the area, and it was close to the family.

Emerald Ridge was very clean and well cared for. The rooms are a little bit smaller and not every room has a private bathroom. The dining area was very nice and the kitchen was much smaller. They have a separate section that focuses on the memory care but we are not yet looking for that. If we were specifically looking for that, that would be a good option. The staff was very good and very helpful. They gave us a very nice tour.

The staff turnover at this place is unbelievable. Every other month there is a new person running the place! The owners seem to just tell the families what we want to hear. My grandmas friends seem to be moving out of here and i think we will be looking to relocate very soon.

My grandmother has been disabled for over 10 years because of a car accident, and as such, needs a lot of help with anything mobility related. She is essentially confined to a wheelchair, but she says the staff are happy to help her move around in general, use the bathroom, change clothes, etc. Upon my visit, the staff seemed exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the facility itself was very clean and in good condition. The few residents that were out in the common areas seemed rather cheerful as well. Everything was brightly lit and colorful, and it seemed to be an overall pleasant and warm place. Bulletin boards were covered with calendars, schedules, menus, and the like, so it seemed like there was no shortage of activities to engage in. My grandmother loves talking and telling stories about her interactions with staff members and the other residents, so I would say she is very pleased with her home.
