I saw the apartments on The Harbor at State and Main. It is an absolutely beautiful facility. They have coffee shops, activities, and there's an elevator that goes to your floor, and storage is also on the same floor. You can step out of your apartment, the apartments are on the outside of the building, and the storages on the inside of the building. That was really very nice. It's expensive. I saw multiple staff there and they were all very pleasant. There were residents outside in the parking lot, they said it's very nice, and the staff is nice. There was outside parking, and they have haircutting services once or twice a week.

I liked The Harbor at State and Main the best. The apartments were very well-designed. They were different floor plans from one to the other, not a predictable kind of box. There were some floor plans that that had triangular areas and windows that wrapped around on a curved basis, which I appreciated. There was a good view of Lake Michigan. It was by far a more pleasant environment and it was only two or three years old. I met two people who were both very pleasant, and the person who showed me around was very helpful, polite, and went out of her way to show me the community room for parties and other things in the facility. I liked the staff members I met. It was a pleasant experience. The place was compatible with what I was looking for.

The Harbor has three floors for senior apartments, and it was affordable. I liked everything about the apartment. It had two bedrooms, a washer and dryer, very good storage area, and affordable garage parking. The manager was very nice. However, it was far, and I wouldn’t be able to see my mom often. It took about three hours to get there.
