Robin's Landing of Brookfield had less staff, but it seemed very nice, quieter, smaller but cozy. It was just hard because they had construction going on, but they had an activity calendar that I saw on the board. I only spoke to one lady, which was the same lady that gave us the tour at the other branch they have, and her name was Angela.

The rooms at Applewood of Brookfield were really nice. You felt like you were in your own little studio apartment when you were in there. They didn't have a kitchen or anything, but it felt spacious enough for residents to feel like they have their own little home away from other residents. They had their own bathrooms in there, and all of the rooms were equipped with emergency pulleys if anything were to happen. The rooms were spread out enough, but it was also pretty intimate in the sense that it had two wings that had the units off of them. In the center of the building were the living areas where they had a large screen TV for movie nights and a nice dining area that looked clean and had modern decorations. It's appealing when you walk in. They had a little kitchen, but the dining area had multiple tables; it felt homey. The staff was walking through the facility, so it felt like there was someone available at any time if needed.

This placed has changed tremendously under new ownership. It is a shame to see what was once such a beautiful well ran place turn into what it has become. The food is terrible, the care is mediocre, the new management allows unbelievable things to go on. They do still have some wonderful caregivers but they are overworked and under appreciated. If you value your loved ones quality of life do not move them in. There is a reason they have 19 empty beds.

I visited Applewood of Brookfield. It felt warm and like home. The staff was very good. Mom will be moving there. The food was very good, and they had two clean and pleasant dining rooms.

My mom is in Applewood. The apartments are nice and roomy. Everything else has been great so far. The staff's work attitude is wonderful. It has been positive. Every time that we are there, the food smells good. I know they have entertainment that comes in and they do crafts. They try to keep them pretty engaged.

I like the staff at Applewood of Brookfield. They are very caring and they know what they are doing. There is a nurse full time there, and she is very involved. It's been a privately owned facility for 25 years, and it's very clean. They have all meals included there, and the food is cooked very well. I would recommend this facility to others because I feel that my mom is very safe there. She has been there for several months now, and she is comfortable and loves the place.

I really liked Applewood. I thought it was nice, and I know a friend of ours who is there and is very happy to be there. I didn't give them any warning, and I went there on a kind of spring cold rainy day. They showed me all around, and I can't say anything negative about it. It was new -- it was not even a year old -- and I thought it was very pleasant; people were around and it didn't look like a dreary hospital kind of a place or kind of depressed looking. It looked good, and their prices were more reasonable.
