I’ve been to Close To Home. It’s a very nice place with nice facilities, reasonable rates, and Alzheimer’s patients, of whom some assisted living places do not take. You can have a private or double room. We are on a waiting list, which is very long because it’s a very nice place.

Close to Home Senior Care is terrible. There are no activities for them to do. My mother-in-law basically sits in her room other than maybe half hour to eat each meal. The meals are terrible, too. There are no fresh fruits and no fresh vegetables. They get baked bread with bologna several times a week. I don't know if that's really what I consider a meal for a senior.

This facility is a very secure and safe place for people with later Alzheimers. They are so gentle with helping their residents to remember that they live there and that it is their home. They are very cognizant of what and how much each person eats and make sure that they are seated with compatible people. They keep the residents busy with activities and things that they don't just sit in there room and go further into their dementia. They welcome visits at any time of the day or night they invite comments and suggestions and will answer any questions or concerns immediately. Facility is kept very clean and does not smell like a elderly care facility!
