Those visiting our Carolina Assisted Living community in Appleton for the first time often come away with the impression that this attractive, well-managed property has something very special going for it. The grounds are gorgeous, and the property's centrally located common areas are architecturally stunning with high ceilings and expansive glass window areas and skylights. It is also apparent that residents are pampered and cared for by a competent, supportive and friendly professional staff that is concerned about their well-being.

Our staff are guided by the philosophy that activity and involvement promotes wellness. And what gives this group of residents an edge is its competitive spirit. These bona fide members of the Wii Generation routinely participate in electronic golf, bowling and tennis tournaments. Happy Hours with nonalcoholic beer occur on Fridays.

Residents of Carolina Assisted Living live in apartments with private baths, are served three home-cooked meals daily, enjoy the convenience of housekeeping and linen service, and participate in daily social and recreational activities while receiving assistance with personal care and medications.

The residents we met here were very, very nice. The food smelled really good. It smelled like they were having some kind of roasted chicken and stuffing. We like that place. They were all very informative and they showed us what we needed to see and explained other things. Some of the residents even had us look at their rooms just to see how much things could be changed around. They were all very helpful and friendly. The guy I talked to on the phone and set all this up has been very helpful. The place is starting to show its age a little bit, but they're really clean there and they seemed to be up on trying to keep the place COVID-free. The security with the doors and things like that, nothing's neglected. You can just tell it's an older place.

It was very homey and warm. The people were good, and the residents were engaged. The dining area was clean, roomy, and had a nice setup. The activities were fantastic. They had a terrific activity director who oversees all the activities. They need to upgrade their rooms because they were small, but I was impressed with the people there.

It is nice, but the rooms are very small. The staff is friendly and very good. The dining room is alright.

My dad has been here for a little over two months now. I like the setting because it is tastefully done. So far, the staff has been good. I do not have any complaints. They do bingo every day, have ice cream socials, and do outdoor activities. They actually want my father to do a demonstration on archery. They seem to keep them occupied.
