Robins Landing of New Berlin looked good. The tour was very thorough. The facility looked very nice. I think it can meet the needs of the clients who are selected to go there. It looked just fine to me. I didn't get to spend a lot of time because it was a brief visit, but it was a good one. For a first look, it looked good. The rooms were like small one-bedroom studio type things. They were doing an art activity outdoors on the patio. It looked like they were having fun. They had a TV room. It was all very modern and quite nice.

I visited Robins Landing of New Berlin. I'm very disappointed. I had an appointment, and they didn't realize that I was even coming. The person who was supposed to give the tour wasn't even there. They had me sit off to the side until they finished their meeting. They said somebody else might be able to give me a tour, and "Was I interested?" Well, after waiting 20 minutes, I said "I'll come back at another time." I was disappointed with feeling like I was more of a burden to them. I realize that there's a lot of short staffing at a lot of these facilities, but that one, I just did not feel was a good place for my mother.
It was clean, but depressing and dark. It was not a facility that I felt my mother would be comfortable at. First of all, I felt that the person who greeted me at the door thought I was an inconvenience. Then the other staff member that finally approached me said that if I could hang in there, they would try and find somebody to give me a tour. Overall, I was not pleased.

Robins Landing of New Berlin was very good. They were very informative about what would be taking place, very patient, and kind. They gave us a full tour, so they spent a lot of time with us. We told them that we wanted to focus on communication and safety for my brother-in-law, and they were very accommodating about that. We just mainly went through the building, met the administrator, toured the rooms, looked at the backyard, sat down with the administrator, and went through all the paperwork with us. The place seemed very clean and we were hoping it's going to work out, and it looks like it is. They had people sitting in the common room with a television and they also have other activities. She also showed us the memory care building and then the assisted living building too.
