I toured the Brookfield Highlands Apartments 55+. The apartments that I saw were brand new. After somebody moves out they refurbish everything, they go in there and they redo it all, and they even put new cupboards in and things like that. And you can have your own washer and dryer in your apartment, I think that's a plus. The outside area was beautiful, they have different gardens that you can sit in, patios, and community rooms you can use. It's very, very nice and the tour was great. The person who gave me the tour was good. It just seems like a very nice, very quiet community.

Brookfield Highlands have been pretty good to me. They have a guy that makes meals for anybody here that wants them, and the food is very good. They have activities like card playing, bingo, and darts. There's a pool table, communion with the priests, a hair salon, and some outside activities when the weather's nice. The building is just pretty old, but the value for the money is pretty good. They do a very good job at entertaining people here.

I liked Brookfield Highlands. My overall tour experience was good. I was looking at a two-bedroom apartment, and I liked the layout of it. I also liked the layout of the entire complex. The staff was very, very nice, and they answered any questions I had.
The neighborhood was good, too. It was almost right across from a church complex. The facility appeared to be very well maintained, and the grounds as well. I was very impressed with it. It was clean, it did not smell dirty, and I thought it was well maintained.

My grandmother moved into Brookfield Highlands. We chose it because we couldn't go visit her in any of the assisted living places. It's a nice apartment complex. They've got the basics of an apartment, and we supplement that with people who come and care for her. It's a nice community. They've been really flexible, and they work well with us. It is quiet, it's nice, and there's a walking path that goes all around. It's right next to Elmbrook Church, and it's in between my dad's house and my house, so it works so well. We only really worked with the building manager, and she's fantastic. The facility is nice and well kept.

I went to Brookfield Highlands. It has a beauty salon, a gameroom, and a library. They have basic cable. The apartments were very nice, they have a courtyard, a gazebo, and they have a nice area. I saw a big room where they may have activities once in a while. The staff is very good. The place was too far for us to go.

Brookfield Highlands is not a secure facility. Underground parking spaces are sublet to non-residents which allows them access to our living areas. No background checks are done nor do they have any info on the lessee. This information was not disclosed at the time of leasing.
Also..The hot and cold water faucet is backwards in the shower and nothing will be done about that either. Although my unit has recently been redone..it is poorly designed. There is no drawer for silverware in kitchen. My unit has persistent drain flies...patio is not level..The buildings are old...

Brookfield Highlands was an older facility. The rooms were not as roomy; it was nice, but not as nice as the one in Menomonee Falls. The staff was very nice as well. The one thing that I liked there was every building has its own living room for the residents. The bedrooms were not as I expected.
