What's nice about Ramsey Woods was that it's a much smaller community than others, but the residents were happy. They were cared for beautifully. I met the staff, they introduced me to the cook and caregivers. It was really nice, it's just that the facility was not up to my mother's standards. The one thing I liked was that the cook had a garden growing in the backyard, and the cook was cooking banana bread and zucchini bread in the kitchen. So she tries to do a lot of fresh vegetables and fresh foods. She cooks everything from scratch, which is nice. The people were really awesome and you could see that. The lady who took us on the tour had to excuse herself because one of the residents was being picked up by their daughter, and she was so kind to him, and just watching how they all interacted, they were very, very kind, and very sweet. One man tried to walk out of this room without his walker, and our tour guide was like, "Hey, hey, hey, where's your walker?" And he scooted back in his room and he came out with a lot of sass and said, "Here it is." It was cute. She cared about all of the residents because it was a smaller community, so she knew everybody and they knew her. And the caregivers we got to meet were really nice. It's just the facility. It's not that it was bad, it just wasn't up to my mom's kind of standards. They need to do some renovations and update that facility. For the same price of what I'm paying at my mom's current community, they were equal in what I'm going to be paying here, and yet the facility is ten times better than this one. The people in Ramsey are phenomenal, but they really need to update that facility.

Our experience with Ramsey Woods was very good. They had an activities coordinator and they take the residents different places. We went over to a festival once. The food was also very good. The staff treated my mom like family, like it's her home, and not like they work there. The place was well-cared for and they had a gentleman that does the work. They're involved with hospice if you need it. The residents there have been there long-term, and everybody likes it there.
