We went to Clement Manor. It was very welcoming, more like a hotel, just clean, and a very warm feeling. The staff was very knowledgeable. I felt that they were very caring and answered all questions without hesitation. I saw an exercise group, and dining was all that was going on when we were there. They have a lot of lounges. The residents can get out of their rooms; they're not stuck. There's a lot of places to go. They have activity rooms, the dining area and the patios. It was very nice.

My father is in independent living at Clement Manor. It's fine. Probably what I like most is that they are still allowing visitation in the independent living. Probably what I like least is that I think, given its age, could have been renovated more than it has. That's the biggest drawback. The central area could have been updated. I think all of the hallways, all of the common areas, just could be cleaner and more updated. After Covid, all the activities were stopped. I think they should offer more variety for the food.

We visited Clement Manor and only saw the independent living facility, even though this is a continuum of care community. The residents that we saw were very pleased with their care. We thought that the lounge was dark and very small, we thought that the apartment was just a turnoff, and so we didnt think that it was a bargain. This is a Roman Catholic community sponsored by the school system of Saint Francis, so there are regular masses there. A couple times a month they have Protestant services. They have different ways you can go in. You can go in and pay (which is about market price, or you can go in at a five-year plan and lay out some money, which probably reduces your rent. The person we talked to wasn't sure what the five-year plan did and said she'd get back to me. Sure enough, I had it the next day, but we told her that we wouldn't be coming back because there was no dishwasher and no washer and dryer. She still invited us back to a meal, and we were very impressed with her.

Clement Manor is highly recommended with a continuum of care thst provides for them as the need increases. They have crafts, Tai-chi, needlecraft, a putting green, worship service, and a clergy comes for the service. They offer a basic array of activities, people come and bring music and pets; it helps so much with aging.

My mom liked Clement Manor because it is a Catholic community that holds mass every day. The staff has been really nice. The food is good, too. The rooms are old but clean and updated. As for the activities, they play cards, have games where they do recognition to help their memory, pray the Rosary, and have get-togethers to keep the residents active.

Putting our mom here was a big mistake. While she was there we noticed that they are dangerously understaffed.
There were only 4 cna's for as many as 98 patients. And just 1 nurse in the evening.
Mom was assessed to be appropriate for
assisted living but many of the people required much more care. Obviously they were not getting that care with only 4 cna's and sometimes less to do the work. They don't seem to know what they are doing.
We are presently looking for at least a better staffed facility.
