About This Community

At Brookdale La Crosse we know that memory losses due to Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia are progressive and residents' needs are continually changing. That's why we provide balance in our residents' capabilities, personalities, and preferences to create daily routines that enhance their spirits and increase their sense of purpose. We believe the amount of satisfaction our Alzheimer's and dementia care residents receive from the tasks that fill their days goes a long way to maintaining their sense of purpose and overall satisfaction with life. An integral part of this is our promise to encourage each resident to find Daily Moments of Success. To help our residents achieve these moments, our associates receive the tools and training needed in such key areas as specialized dining and the ongoing monitoring of healthcare and behavioral needs, to name a few.

We provide Alzheimer's and dementia care residents with the lifestyle, housing, and services they need in comfortable surroundings combined with the amenities, programs, and care to help stimulate recognition, recall, and wellness in a safe environment. Through years of caring for individuals with dementia, our professional care staff has learned to create optimal surroundings and approaches to care. Familiar environments that our residents have enjoyed throughout their lives are recreated to help them feel reassured and comfortable. The Alzheimer's and dementia care programs at Brookdale La Crosse are built to embrace, not restrict our residents' desire to wander and to provide a sense of belonging.

My husband has been at Brookdale La Crosse for two weeks now. I did not actually tour it, but I sat in his room just to give him comfort. I saw where the dining room was, I met three or four of the staff members, and they were all very nice. They have been very nice on the phone, and they have been e-mailing me, too. I plan to go next week, but they didn't want me to come right away because he should acclimate himself to the place without family. For visitations, you make an appointment, which I think was mostly because of COVID, but two people can visit at once. My husband's room has a low bed because he has been falling out of it. It has a rubber mat around it. His room has a little dresser and a larger dresser with a TV on it. There is a comfortable straight chair, but we're taking up a recliner. Everything was furnished. It has a bathroom with a shower, which is handy for him. My husband goes to the dining area with help. I'm very impressed. They have been very attentive. They call and talk to me a lot. This morning he said the food was very good. He had sausage and pancakes, and he remembered that. There are no stairs or anything, so it's good. I don't know what the activities are, but they keep him very busy. When he first got there, he used to call me four or five times, and now it is down to about one.

Brookdale La Crosse is a beautiful facility. They have nice rooms with their own bathrooms. The staff was wonderful, they explained everything, and they took us on a tour of the whole facility. Everybody seemed really cheerful, and friendly. They have tons of activities, they have something you can do all day long. They go on trips, do crafts, and there's entertainment. The dining and cooking area is beautiful, they have chefs, and the menu looked good. However, they didn't have licensing for the nursing staff.

My father is at Brookdale La Crosse. They’re very good, very caring, loving, and very respectful of the patients. We’re really happy with it. It’s a great, beautiful facility. My aunt and uncle were here from Montana yesterday and they thought it was awesome. It’s nice and big. We’re happy with it. My father loves it.

The staff Clare Bridge of LaCrosse was very helpful. The rooms were beautiful. We did not taste the food, but the menu looked really good, and the dining room was very nice. I was impressed by its friendliness and cleanliness, and it was very appealing.

My Mom has been a resident of Clare Bridge of LaCrosse for over a year and a half and receives wonderful care there. The staff is very attentive to all her needs and includes her in all the activities. She has been on hospice for several months and the communication with the staff has been excellent. In addition to the care conference every six months, they are very prompt responding to my emails. I am truly grateful for their caring nature and positive attitudes.

My Mom has been a resident at Clare Bridge in LaCrosse for the last 18 months. The transition went very smoothly when we moved her in from an assisted living in Dec. 2010 and continues to go well as she has now been placed on hospice. I am so grateful for the attentiveness and communication the staff gives me about my Mom, as well as what they provide her as her health continues to decline.
