Cedarhurst of Mequon didn't have onsite medical or a nurse. They shared the nursing staff with another location, and the nurse was located in the other location but would come to Cedarhurst of Mequon if needed. So, the person wasn't actually stationed there, but everything else was really nice. They had good facilities for physical therapy, and the place looked really great. The staff were all very nice. I was really impressed with the people who took me around. We got a pretty good tour. It was very clean, nicely upkept, and looked attractive.

I toured this community for my mom. The apartments are spacious and have a full kitchen.
Staff was very knowledgeable and you could tell they cared about the residents. They also offer a pendant program for residents which is a call light button.
They have a fun activities calendar with at least 4 activities a day. The apartments come with Wi-Fi, cable and bathrooms have a walk in shower, apartment controlled heating and cooling. The apartments are big.
They offer housekeeping, laundry services, 3 meals a day. They did invite both myself and mom in for lunch and a tour. Also, transportation for any appointments that mom has.
A plus of this community is the is right off the expressway and close to hospitals, drs offices and shopping area.

It was beautiful. From the tour I had, we were actually considering moving mom there, but her condition changed rapidly and I didn’t feel that moving her would be a wise decision as they didn’t have the facilities to deal with her as her condition continued to decline. There were no issues with the sanitation. I would say the rooms were completely adequate. The location is very convenient, and I am going to say it’s off the main road and excluded off the traffic but very convenient to get to with lots of trees; it was a great area.

I visited, and it was a great experience. I liked it very much. The only thing is that my husband has reached the late stage in his Alzheimer's, unfortunately, and I cannot move him from where he is. The rooms were comfortable, bright, and clean. I liked how the staff people were and how they talked to me. I liked everything, but the only issue would be the parking. They don't have a parking lot or underground parking or anything like that. The reason was that very few of the residents have cars, and this was understandable, but then again if I were to live there, it would be a concern. Everything was lovely on the inside, but the outdoors and lack of parking as long as I continue to drive would be a problem for me.

The overall environment here is very clean. Mom will be there until the end of the month. Everybody was professional. I can tell that they actually cared about the residents there and were not there just to be there. It was definitely a good experience, and they kept in contact with me; anything that may have happened or if there is any information, they are pretty professional the whole time. I haven’t eaten there, but I know my mom enjoyed it. She didn’t have any complaints and she is pretty picky, so that's a good thing.

It was wonderful. My sister's father in law is staying there. They're an excellent facility and they have been wonderful in contacting me. They have a variety of things to do for several levels of people that are there, whether you are in a wheelchair or ambulatory. The apartments are spacious and they're clean. The staff is very attentive. I would choose it for my mom but she doesn't want to leave the place she's staying right now.
