Hi
Several time when I needed meds for my breathing I was denied my medication.
2 out of 3 off the staff are very insensitive to resident's needs and are rude.
The food is good.

I went to Our House Senior Living Baraboo Assisted Care. I love the menu plan, and I love how they were very healthy cooking oriented. The activity schedule looked great. The rooms were, however, very small, and there was definitely a scent of urine upon walking in, which right off the bat kind of turned us off. The person who gave us the tour seemed really young and inexperienced. She was very friendly, but didn't really know her business as well as she should've. The activities seemed great, and they had a good schedule. They've kept everybody going into different activities. It just didn't seem clean all the way around.

The facility was good although poorly represented by a consultation. While the facility provided excellent care and support, the people in residence varied vastly in condition. My grandmother is fully conscious and continues to possess all cognitive faculties and was told that those there would be of similarly sound minds; however, this was not the case. My grandmother found the institution to be very depressing as she was staying with people with much diminished capabilities. The majority of those there had somewhat advanced Alzheimer's or dementia. This provided my grandmother with no equals to carry on conversation with other than the staff. But, as I previously stated, this would be an excellent facility for those who require much more care.

R House was a very supportive facility during my grandmother's time there. She was able to maintain some independence in leaving the facility since she was there only for a period of rehabilitation. However, most of the residents in the facility were in far worse condition and this lead to some anxiety and depression. She also commented that the food there was subpar compared to the proclaimed homemade meals. The facility did keep a cozy environment that would be suitable atmosphere if the residents were all of equivalent minds.
