My father is in Patriots Landing. He was in quarantine for the first two weeks. Now he's been vaccinated, so things are slowly beginning to open up. He's able to dine with other residents at the same table. Because of COVID, there were so many restrictions. I think it's taken a little longer than if we had no restrictions in place, to get to know other residents. So far, he likes it there. His room has a lot of light and a tall ceiling, so it feels bigger. The bathroom is good; it's easy for him to maneuver in with a walker. They're very quick to fix anything or any complaints he has. They have maintenance there on staff all the time. There were a lot of rules when we first got there, which was different from his last facility. They made everything very clear, and he has been visited often by the social director and activities director. There's lots of choices of activities for him to do (if he chooses to do that). They have a health room (which he did not have before), so he's taking advantage of doing some exercises there. The food is a huge upgrade from where he was. He wasn't keen on the food in his last place, but this has been good. And he always comments that they do their specialty meals for things like Mother's Day, Father's Day, or different holidays. The place is very lovely. They have beautiful gardens and everything is well-kept. It's very welcoming, and there are community areas where you can sit with family or other people. You have to be military affiliated, but I would highly recommend it for those who are. We've just been really thrilled with everything that they've been able to take care of with any of his concerns. They have someone 24-7 so we can always call the front desk and get information, so that has been very helpful. This is his third place. It's more expensive than his last place, but less expensive than the first place.

We visited Patriots Landing, and it turned out that they did not have respite care in the memory care unit. The place looked very nice, clean, and luxurious. The staff ratio seemed to be good, and it was smaller. We decided it was a little too far. The staff was very nice, very helpful, and happy to clue us in that they did not have the respite that we needed. They had private as well as double rooms.

My mother is in Patriot's Landing. It's a military community, they take excellent care, they are very conscientious, and they're the finest that there is anywhere. They ran it like a hotel. It's absolutely clean, with very fine food -- it's the best I've ever eaten -- and it's better than what I can eat at home.

I toured Patriots Landing with the intention of moving my mother in. When we walked in we were greatly by a desk person who welcomed us and offered us a cappuccino! The lobby has beautiful plants and unlike other places we looked, we saw people doing things. Most places we looked we didn't see much staff or even residents to talk to. Here we were greeted by several staff members and the Executive Director welcomed us and shook our hands. Unfortunately just a few days later mom suffered a setback and has moved into a skilled nursing nearby which they recommended to us. A true class act!

We didn’t like Patriots Landing; we did not feel comfortable there. I liked the rooms though; it gave a very homey feeling, and we were happy with that. However, I wasn’t impressed with the people that showed us around. The residents ate at different times, and I don’t like that.

Patriots Landing was beautiful and reminded me of a resort. However, it wasn’t what my mom was looking for. It was too big for her, but it was warm and welcoming. The people were very nice and friendly. It was lovely. We had some coffee while talking with the ladies who were very hospitable. The place was very clean. They had a whole calendar of activities for the dementia area, specifically, as well as for the other residents and a library. We were there to see the dementia unit. I would not mind living there myself. They had a walk-in tub where they could soak if they wanted. The rooms were nice, and even in the ones they considered semi-private rooms, the person had their privacy and individual space. In the memory care unit, they had little shelves outside the doors where they could put personal pictures of their family, so that they would know that it was their room, which was very nice.

The one that I was most impressed with was Patriots Landing. Their facility was very nice. Their food was high-quality, and they had independent-living up to memory care, and assisted-living. The person who assisted me was competent, but I did not really have any interaction with the care staff. The rooms were very nice.

Patriots Landing was really expensive. Great place, but it was not affordable. The staff was great, but the rooms were small. Great chef -- was really friendly -- and the meal was great. They showed us the calendar and let us see what kind of things they had for them and what they could choose from. I would recommend, but you just need to have the right finances.

We visited Patriots Landing, and the lady was very helpful and showed us the cottages. They had a room where they had exercise classes and a community room, and they did have a pool. The grounds were well kept. The dining room was very nice and very clean. The people seemed happy and were enjoying their meals.

The thing I like about Patriots Landing is you don't see dirty dishes laying around; somebody clears the table every time, really quickly. The staff were well. The rooms were nice, and they had full kitchens in them. The food was wonderful, and the dining room was very clean. They went shopping every Tuesday at Wal-Mart. They took the shuttle bus. They have hospital, rooms and it is like a walk down the street from the restaurants.

I moved in to Patriots Landing because it is a beautiful place. It is new. The food is good, but they put too much salt in the food, and it is not good for diabetic or anybody as far as the salt goes. They do not give you a diabetic diet, and I hope they have food for diabetics. I am treated very well. However, when I go to hospital while I am here, they didn't give me credit for being in the hospital, but as far as the staff goes they are pretty good. You have three apartment choices. It can be a studio, a single bedroom, or a two bedroom apartment. They have activities like bingo, poker, dancing, swimming, and exercise. The whole area around is really nice.

Patriots Landing has lots of activities. They are enjoying it: bingo, pool, and other games, too. The staff is really helpful, very considerate. They're really friendly. The food is good.

Patriots Landing was pretty incredible in terms of facility. However, the memory care unit was quite small. It was disappointing for me that there was no area outside secured for the residents to participate in by themselves. They seemed to have a lot of staff and activities. They also took the residents to the doctors for medical check-ups.

This facility is beautiful and the food is very good, but be VERY careful! Due to apathy from the so-called "nursing" staff, you may find yourself hospitalized.

We have lived at Patriots Landing (primarily for retired military) for 4 years. My wife has advanced altzimers and I was her full time caregiver. A few weeks ago I took a downturn and ended up in the hospital and rehab. When I "left" the assisted living kicked in and gave my wife wonderful care which continues now that I have been home for a few days. I am trying to regain some control of the functions and med dispensing which are provided but am still in recovery so will gradually do that. The fees are substantial but have been well worth it under the circumstances. I may retain some of the functions that aren't too expensive.

The Patriots Landing in Dupont, WA is an assisted care facility that offers senior residents independent living options and daily support services. The facility is new and clean and more resembles a nice first class hotel than an assisted living facility. The decor is meant to appeal to veterans but you don't have to be a veteran to live at Patriots Landing. The beautiful lobby is decorated with art created by local artists. There is a grand staircase that leads up to the nest floor and a nice sitting area. The dining room is decorated formally and staff are professionally dressed. The food I was served was delicous. There is a pool that is wonderful for those residents that like to swim. There is also onsite medical care for emergencies and other needs.

When I get old, Patriots Landing in DuPont is where I want my kids to take me. I went to this place on friday October 7th, and I was immediately blown away by the entrance to this facility. I felt like I was walking into the Hilton Inn or something. My daughter and I walked around the building to visit with the elderly veterans that resided there. I can tell you that my daughters favorite part was the elevator. As you walk in the building you are greeted by an inviting sitting area that leads to the staircase to the second floor. The stairs reminded me of the ones on the ship of the Titanic(the movie of course). All the walls had beautiful artwork from a local artist, and paintings that consisted of veteran or military personals. This place made me feel like the perfect retirement home for a veteran. Right behind the stairs that welcomed you as you walked in, is the gorgeous dinning area. The chef had a sharp professional outfit on, and the waitress looked so refined. All the tables were perfectly placed with place mats, napkins on napkin rings, silverware, glasses and gorgeous arrangements of flowers.I was not able to go into the residents rooms during this visit, but I hope I get a call back from the residents I did get to meet so I can tour their rooms. But I can only imagine how magnificent they may be. I really appreciated that the staff(except the kitchen part) was uniformed. They all had red tops and khakis. The best way to allow residents there to feel confident that they are asking an employee for help.
