I went to look at Orchard Park. The manager sat with us and talked for quite a while before taking the tour, so we were kind of prepared. It's four stories, and they have one elevator. It was more community living because all your meals had to be gotten in the dining hall. Your laundry has to be done on your own. They have a couple of different sizes of apartments. It was all very clean and organized. They had some community rooms that had different activities set up and a nice library. Everybody was very friendly, and each resident had their own apartment. It was very homey. Some people had little dogs, so they have a fenced-in area around their back door if they were on the ground level.

Orchard Park is the only one I like. It seemed well organized and the staff during the visit did a very good job. The rooms had a good view, and there was a balcony. It looked like a good facility. There is a public park about a block away. I looked at four different ones, but that was the only one that I really thought would be acceptable. The cleanliness was very good.

My mother was at Orchard Park for eight months. She just slowly went downhill and she wanted me to do more things. If it's assisted living, we could've stayed there, but she loved it when she was there. It was great. I got to help her with crafts and with beading. Colette was an absolute lifesaver. She went above and beyond her duties. She also let me talk to mom when she was nervous or upset. Mom didn't want to come out of her room at first and I didn't realize that she was nervous because my mother's never been nervous to go meet people at all. She did and finally came out and sat in the very back of the dining area. Overall, the experience was really nice. We love CJ, too. All the staff was really nice and understanding. The biggest problem we had was getting mom her meals from the kitchen. If it didn't get to her room, Collette would take it or Roseanne. They would go down and make sure she had her food and they'd take it to her because my mom got to where she couldn't walk. All of the staff was good. It's just the younger people never talk to me. They were nice, but sometimes, they get flighty. Every now and then, her meal would get later, but she always got something. Their food was really good. For independent, I understand they can't really offer healthy food (for heart or diabetic). My husband and I ate there quite often, and it was just awful salty for the age of people that were there. My mother loved her room. In fact, she was heartbroken that we had to transfer her out. They make you feel like family. They were always willing to help. The food tasted good. It's just a lot of times when my mom would eat there, she would have to go home and it would upset her tummy. She never used the amenities. I loved the little exercise room downstairs. The computer room was like their computer/TV room, and there was one lady who comes down there every day and played on it. I've seen people use it, just my mother couldn't.

I have been here about 8 months and this is the best move I could have made. The staff are all very helpful and kind. My one bedroom apartment is (surprisingly) the right size for me and my dog. OP is very dog friendly . we have some sort of activity going every day -- some days are packed. We have Bingo several times a week, bean bag baseball twice a week, bus trips on Wednesdays, crafts, card games, and more. You can be as active as you chose to be; I recommend activity.

My father-in-law will be moving into Orchard Park. We loved everything about it, and so did my father-in-law. My husband and I looked at it first, and then we took him, and he fell in love with the place. We liked the fact that the three meals will be there for him every day. The place is very clean and everybody that we've talked to has been very friendly. The manager helped us out tremendously. We just love them. My father-in-law liked it. He walked through the facility, and we like all the amenities that it has to offer for him, and the different socialization rooms. Due to COVID, it's kind of quiet right now, but he really loved the facility, and all the amenities that they offer. We like the location, and the security was a big thing for us, and we really loved that. He will be on the second floor, and he liked the view. The apartment was perfect for him. He did the walkthrough, he loved it, and we found out even the amenities in the room were perfect. The tub that has the lower step to get in is perfect, the size is perfect, the size of the room is perfect. All the storage area and closet space are great. We really love it. The menu was very satisfying and has what we want our father-in-law to have.

We're very satisfied with Orchard Park. We have no complaints about anything. They have been super nice to us and super accommodating. We're very satisfied with the food, the employees, and the residents. We know a lot of people who live there, so it's an easy move for us. They have more activities than we will ever be able to participate in.

I went to Orchard Park. It was great, and it was really nice. The guy that showed me around was very concise, very knowledgeable, and everybody there was very nice. The place was clean, and they have nice rooms. There were people playing card games, they were out walking dogs, a bus was taking some people to Legends Casino, and it looked like there was a lot going on. I did not have a meal, but he showed me the menu, and it looked really nice. The apartments were small, but nice, cosy, clean, and well-kept. Everything was very professionally run.

I loved Orchard Park very much. They have some activities and things. We're looking forward to when my aunt makes the move. It's nice and secure. We liked it very much. You order all your meals restaurant style. They do your linens twice a month and they clean your room once a week. It seemed like a nice place. They have exercises. It seemed very organized, very friendly, and very inviting. The facility seemed clean. Everybody I dealt with was fine. Everybody was ready for my appointment. There was no misunderstanding or anything like that. It was very easy.

I liked Orchard Park a lot. It was very good but $800 a month more than other places. I thought their activities were better than any of them, though. They had clever ideas and things to do that were fun. Orchard Park was a very good community but our second primarily because of its cost because it doesn't not have the ability to store things that you don't want to keep in your apartment, and it doesn't have covered parking. The apartment was very nice, though. We had lunch there, and the food was good.

Beware avoid this place. Orchard Park charges over three thousand dollars a month and each year they will raise their fees by five percent. My Dad is on a fixed income and in just five more years he is going to be priced out. After two years he had the opportunity to lock in his rate for one-time payment of an extra ONE month's rent. Unless you have deep pockets avoid Orchard Park. My Dads friends are leaving not from death but from being priced out. Dad is a widower and does not drive he makes friends and soon they are moving away to escape the rent increase.

We tried to find something wrong with Orchard Park but we couldn't. The food was excellent. The service was great. They had a fairly large dining area that was well-lit and very clean. It was just a wonderful experience. The staff was so wonderful. I personally don't remember the name of the young man who took us on a tour but he was really good. When we were almost done eating dinner, the chef came out and talked with anybody who would talk to him, and he asked how the meal was, what we liked and didn't like, and it was just great. All the people there are very friendly and outgoing. They all said, "We want for you to make this your home, like how you would like to have it in your own home." It was wonderful. We heard them playing an instrument, which I believe was a guitar, but we weren't in that part of the building while that was going on. They had different activities going on throughout the day, so you're not left on your own. It was really great. I talked to a couple of the people who had lived there for three years or longer, and they had nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff, food, and everything. It was just really wonderful.

Orchard Park didn’t smell, seemed to have a lot of activities, and looked like it had good meals. They had bible classes, exercise classes, craft classes, and extracurricular field trips to local theaters and musicals. They had a vehicle that would take you where you want to go if you didn’t want to drive. The staff seemed nice, and the people having lunch seemed good.

Orchard Park was truly a community. The staff and the residents all cared about each other. It was fantastic food. Everybody watched out for each other. All the residents and all the staff were happy there. My father did enjoy himself while he was there. The staff was excellent. They were very respectful of the residents, very friendly and involved. They could easily strike up a conversation. They immediately call them by name. Also, it was cheaper.

My mother is at Orchard Park. It looked nice enough. I'm happy with it, and she is happy with it, so we are not moving her. I wouldn't put her there if it wasn't an appropriate place for her to be. They could improve on the food though because they go back and forth with their food as far as the taste and quality goes. They need to be more consistent with their food. I have recommended this place to others.
