I toured Truewood Vancouver. The second time we went, they had a girl that was showing it. They would only show us model units that they had set up. They would not show us actual rooms that were available. They had no list of available rooms. They had no pricing available. They had no idea what type of rooms were available. The people were not friendly. The residents looked like they were all death-warmed over. There were staffing problems and they were all coming to the lady that was trying to show us around. She was trying to take care of the staffing problems at the same time, and so we kind of felt like it was a nightmare. That's not the way to show a prospective resident. You don't just give someone keys to a couple of rooms and that's it, like no pricing, and expect them to move in.

It is quite good. The rooms are a little bit smaller but the staff was excellent-- I had no problem with that. They have food there, like lunch and dinner type food. Everybody seemed to enjoy the place and they were there and it's a vibrant community, not with people that were out in, say, outer space or whatever. I had no problems with the staff, they answered questions and allowed me to look around and see what the facility looked like. On the menu, they had a good selection of food. And there's more than one type of food that you could eat, in case you didn't like liver and onions that day, you could also order a steak or something. There was an exercise room there. There were some outside activities, but I just got the feeling that it wasn't quite the same as the other place I toured. The rooms were clean and everything was clean inside the facility. I didn't have any difficulty finding anything one way or the other. I felt it's a little more isolated out there, away from my friends that are in the Vancouver area. So I didn't think they would come and visit me as much.

I've been here and I think it's a wonderful place. The apartments are superb. We have a swimming pool and a jacuzzi, and I like that. I have a full kitchen, a washer and a dryer, and they provide us with three meals a day. I must say, the food is really, really good. I am pleased with it.
We're just having a slow start with the activities after COVID. We're not getting there just yet, but I go to a church service, and then we have a bus to go shopping, a bus that goes to the doctors, and a bus to take you somewhere fun, which is what I'm doing.

The lunch we had here was good. The facility was very nice, and the apartment was luxurious. They had a swimming pool, covered parking, storage for the residents, lots of areas to meet, and they provide activities.

It was marvelous. I really liked it. The person who helped me was very informative and very welcoming. She gave me whatever information I needed. I was very happy with the place. If I were going to make a move, I would definitely consider it. They have two bridge tables; it's rare to find bridge players anymore. They also have an indoor swimming pool, which impressed me.

Our visit here was enjoyable. The environment was good. The staff was very nice.

My mother was here. She liked it there a lot. There was no complaint. There, she got card games and bingo. They had a bus that took them to the casino and to shopping. Also they would take them to doctor's appointments. It was a beautiful place. They had really wide halls. It was pleasant and it was pretty.

It was excellent. It had cleaning service. Every room had a fireplace with washer and drier. They had a chef and they had excellent meals.

It is very good. They're very helpful and I have no complaints. They will give you and help you with your requests. Compared to any other, I think it's very good.
