About This Community

Artesian Place is a beautiful 3-story building in the quiet and conveniently located medical district of west side Olympia and the Black Lake area. The building with beautiful finishes and various resident spaces features 60 apartments, 48 large studio and 12 1-bedroom apartments divided amongst three floors, each with access to stairs and elevator. The unique layout and multi-level allow for an intimate feel on each floor, but the benefits of a larger resident population and community. Each apartment hosts its own kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave, and bathroom including roll-in accessible shower.

The team at Artesian Place pride themselves on the quality and caring manner in which they work with the residents and serve the greater community. Our robust activity and life enrichment programming are geared to resident preferences and include Bingo, music and other entertainment performances, scheduled trips to stores and other desired local locations, and wonderful scenic drives and enjoyment of all the area has to offer!

We toured Artesian Place Assisted Living, which is right by the hospital. It's very clean, very nice, they had a lot of things to do, and the people were very friendly. I felt like I'd be comfortable in that kind of environment. The place was just pretty. The thing I liked was they have an alternate menu, so say if they made roast chicken and you didn't want that, there's a list of things you can choose from as an alternative. If I'm hungry at 2:00 in the morning and I really need food, I can get some food and order off of the alternative menu, and they'll bring me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich if I want. My daughter and I were pretty happy with it. The staff members were all very friendly, very nice, helpful, respectful, and caring. It's a newer building, so it was nice. I got excited because they have bingo nights and music nights, arts and crafts, they have occasional day trips, and a pool table. They have a room that's laid out where you can go play puzzles and play games and stuff like that, which is nice. They have several rooms that are for different activities, and they publish a calendar once a month of what the schedule is for different activities.

We have chosen Artesian Place Assisted Living for our mom. She is due to move in a few weeks. It was very clean. The staff was friendly, and the residents looked very happy. They have gathering rooms, meeting rooms, and where they do physical activities and puzzles. They have a library, a game room, a recreation room, and a movie room.
