About This Community
At Windriver Place, our senior living community, we provide compassionate care in a, neighborhood setting. We develop individual care plans to meet the needs of each resident, and a full-time registered nurse is available 24 hours a day to provide clinical oversight and coordination of care. We offer amenities and activities to help residents thrive in mind, body, and spirit; we welcome pets, and make time for Qigong, bingo, arts and crafts, live music, Bible study, and church services. We venture out for walks in the neighborhood, garage sales, picnics, and trips to the mall. Contact us to learn more about our Spokane assisted living community today.

We toured Windriver Place. It was very, very nice. The facility is smaller than many, so it offers a more intimate and home-like environment than some of the larger facilities. It was all on one level, which was nice. My mother-in-law was pleased with that function. She didn't want to have to ride elevators or take stairs or do any of that. This was all a one-level facility. The rooms were adequate. They weren't overly large. They had studios and one bedrooms. The staff was very friendly and very welcoming. There was a room that had all kinds of games and puzzles. There was a table full of residents that were playing a card game together. They do local outings and that sort of thing.

Windriver Place was very small, but it was a wonderful place. The staff gave us an amazing tour. She was very honest about the care they give, and about what they can't provide. As soon as we walked in, we just loved the community feel, the warmth, and the care. It was outstanding. A lot of the doors were open. They were decorated with each person's little personal things inside as well as outside. It was our number one place to go. They provided a lot of activities on a variety of levels. They had a dining room for a family where more than one or two people could come and share a birthday or a holiday with family, and you could be there with as many people as would fit in the room and have a meal. It was a special place. They had a menu that looked very balanced. The place reminded me of an ordinary home. It wasn't sterile like some of the nursing homes. It was perfect.

Windriver Place was a beautiful facility, very nicely organized as far as activities, how residents could find their rooms and find their way around, that type of thing. The staff during the tour was very informative, very compassionate, and concerned about their ability to meet our needs. They were getting ready to play bingo, so we saw them gathering for that. That's the only thing that we saw. The rooms were very nice and spacious and there's plenty of room for someone to bring in their own furniture, mementos, pictures, that type of thing. The only reason we are not considering them is that they do not accept Medicaid at any point. If mom runs out of money, then she would have to move to a different facility.
