Understaffed and the staff they do have in the reflections unit (dementia) residents are very rude to the them when they think no family or friends are around. I personally witnessed a evening nurse yell at old lady over a night snack. I listened and when I popped my head around the corner for her to see me she started talking so nice and went got the sandwich. I can’t imagine how they are treated when family isn’t around. They don’t have enough fluids given to them their meds are not given properly if you speak up asking questions they start getting rude because you ask for them to do their job. They are dishonest in their charting and disrespect the wishes of the residents. This unit is horrible and heartless and feel sad for those people everyday. Reports have been made on them. The other side the rehab which is short stay residents their treated like king and queens cause they leave shortly after they arrive and are walking talking billboards for their company so they are treated with kindness. But once you cross over to the locked unit it’s a entire new world . Don’t let your loved ones go on that side cause you will see just how horrible they are. Cameras need to be put in peoples rooms so staff has to be held accountable for the abuse these people deal with. And scared to speak up because of retaliation or people don’t believe them cause dementia so sad

My father is at Regency Care Center. I think they’re very understaffed, and my father doesn’t get the care that he needs, but they’re doing what they can for him. He is doing physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. They need to improve on staffing. They have several dining rooms, and they’re all fine. The food is just nursing home food. There’s nothing wrong with it. It is just nursing home food.

The care was pretty good at Regency Care Center at Monroe from what I saw. My dad was there for physical therapy. It seemed a little bit dated, but it was still very nice. The food seemed pretty good.

Dad was in Regency Care Center for observation because his dementia was really getting to him. The accommodation was okay. They had two people in that room. They gave them their meals like you were in a hospital. They had his medicines but they said that they have a year’s waiting list for that place so he couldn’t stay there. I would say his stay was okay. We wanted to keep him there but there are a lot of people wanting to be in there because the cost is a lot less money.
