I had gone to The Creekside. It was very well put together. Their director or tour person was very professional, very informative, and her follow-up was very good. We would be there right now if it wasn’t for the price. Once, again, it came down to the expense. However, because of where it was location and how well taken care of it is, I would say that it was definitely worth what the other place was asking for. They had extras that the other facilities that we looked at did not have. They had an actual Alzheimer’s unit and locked up areas for Alzheimer’s patients. They were a retirement community, but they also had assisted and memory care. They had everything.

I loved Creekside the most, and I was going to place my parents there. The lady that gave me the tour seemed really caring. What I really liked was that all of the assisted living residents were on the second floor and didn’t have to go downstairs because their dining room and activity areas were on the second floor. They have a big dining room on the first floor where they serve meals for longer hours, so they might start serving breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for lunch, giving more options for when to come down and eat, which I thought was pretty cool. They posted the menu for the day around the facility. They had a huge and nice activity area, and they were playing bingo when I was there. The price was really reasonable.

We liked Creekside, and we even contemplated moving mom there, but she had another stroke. The rooms available were bigger; they had a shared one bedroom with a little kitchen area and its own bathroom.
