I was only shown 1 room at Daystar Retirement Village. They were in the process of redoing it, and there was no furniture in it, but it was an OK room. We walked by the dining room, but we didn't go in because people were eating then. We saw a social room where people were sitting, and there was a ping pong table. The staff was very caring and interested in my welfare. The facility was well used, and they didn't have a medical arm. The only staff we talked to was the marketing staff, and they were very good.

My sister was at Daystar for 2 months; they didn’t have air conditioning, and it was getting warm. It’s nice; they had a more formal dining room with table cloths. It’s an older building that’s been added on a couple of times. The care was good, and they were right there to handle. They have card playing, they had some high school kids come in and do some entertaining, and they had a bus that takes them to places.

Daystar Retirement Village was great. It had three available apartments, which were all very attractive. It's across the street from the malls and very quiet and cozy. I liked it a lot.

The staff was very knowledgeable at Daystar. They invited me to dinner, and it was really good. It was very clean, very bright, and very efficient. They had washers and dryers in the rooms. They were very nice and affordable.

I have 3 relatives living in this facility. I visit frequently and have always been impressed with the cleanliness, friendliness to visitors, and how they treat the residents, even in difficult times.
