Cogir of Northgate Memory Care had a lot of residents, and so residents will have a lot more people to interact with. It's very homey and very friendly. Not too big and fancy. It's small enough that you'll get lots of individual attention, but it's big enough that as a memory care person, you'll have a lot more community and you won't be locked away in a separate area.
The room was really nice. It's big and it's comfortable with windows. I found it to be bigger and more inviting than any of the other places I looked at. I love everything about it, but I would like maybe carpeting and more comfortable chairs in the community areas. They have exercises, art things, little places in the hallway where people can sit and talk and play games, movies, and some gardening stuff if people want to. I really like that they have an outdoor area for them to walk and sit outside.

My overall impression of Sunrise of Northgate has been very good. Their rooms are very nice and the amenities are awesome. They do all kinds of things. We walked in one time and they were doing activities at a table, they read to the residents, or watch special movies. We really like it. My mother-in-law is a resident there, and the staff is awesome. This community by far is the best one we looked at. I just really like this place, and they take good care of my mother-in-law. It's a newer building and they have everything in the room.
