Regency Pullman is very family-oriented for our family. We have family all around, so we can all visit mom there. The place is very friendly, very clean, very neat, and everything about it is very nice. Mom has only been there about 3 weeks now. She said the food is wonderful. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We feel that value is very good. All of us children are paying for this and it seems to be very reasonable for us.

My mother is at Whitman Senior Living. She moved in June of this year. She has an apartment there. It is very spacious and very clean. However, I think food is terrible. They aren't serving fresh foods. They're serving a lot of canned foods. They do have activities there. They go to the stores, to the ice cream parlor, and they go for a drive. There's a variety of things they do. Their residents look busy.

My wife was at Whitman Senior Living for about a year and a half. They provide service to people who are essentially independent and don't need too much help. So they would like to have people who aren't necessarily on Medicaid or who can privately finance their stay. They have a very good activities director. They play fun games, they stage a lot of events, and they would take people out to restaurants on special occasions. My wife liked it, and she made a lot of friends there. She enjoyed the activities and she was sorry that she had to leave. But I think she has come to appreciate the fact that she does need more help now than they can provide. It would be nice if this facility can also handle residents who begin to have greater problems or started to need more care, so that you don't have to move them to a different facility.
