I visited the Regency on Whidbey. It's essentially like a fancy hotel. My first impression was that it is very nice. It's nicely appointed, it's clean and appeared to be fairly new and had that kind of an expensive aura. The staff was very friendly, very helpful, and showed me everything I needed to see. They were playing bingo in one room, and some people were watching a movie in the theater. The dining area was very nice and they had two chefs. And they had a menu posted that looked very nice.

I toured Regency on Whidbey for my mother, and as I was walking through the hallways with the coordinator, they would actually greet me even without knowing me. They would say hello and say how wonderful the place is and things of that nature. It was like they really enjoyed being there.
It certainly was clean. When you go into the main lobby there it's very much welcoming, especially because it goes straight into the library, which is a very nice place. They have a movie theater room, a hair salon, a barber shop, and a very beautiful dining room. It's a very, very nice place. It has a very clean smell, too.
The staff member was wonderful and very knowledgeable. She was also very empathetic because she meets all walks of life, those who are there for various reasons. She also definitely has wonderful stories of her own to share when she cared for her elder family members, too. So, she knows exactly the feeling, the emotion surrounding it, and can certainly relate. That was very nice to see. It wasn't just a business to her, she actually had empathy for the client and client to be.
They also do laundry and dry cleaning. They have walking trails and outdoor areas for the residents.

My husband is in assisted living at Regency on Whidbey. I think it's a great community. It's laid out very well, and it's kept very clean and sanitary. The staff is very friendly and efficient. His studio apartment is nice and clean, and it's a private one. It has a kitchenette, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a sink. The dining area is very nice and it's medium-sized. They have activities planned every day. They have bingo, music, they have people that present different subjects, movies, and Wheel of Fortune. Value for money is good. They're all expensive, but for the price, it's kept up and it's maintained very well.

My sister and I toured Regency on Whidbey. We liked it, and we're just working with my mom in getting things figured out. We really like the location and the setup for her. From what we could see, it looked very nice. With COVID, you don't get to see much, but it looks like it will be good. The one person we met was very nice and helpful.
It was clean. The amenities that they have and what they offer looks like a good fit and something that would be beneficial for our mom. It's really hard to be very specific because we really looked at one unit, that was about it, and we walked around the outside. Because of COVID, you can't walk around inside the facility. The room was clean, functional, and would have everything she needs. We peeked in the windows to look in the dining unit from the outside, and it looked pleasant, clean and nice.

I talked to my mother at Regency on Whidbey a lot. I am probably most impressed by their staff and the dignity with which they treat people; that’s the kind of dignity you want your parents to be treated with. It would be easy to talk down to residents because they don't know what’s going on. They do make sure there are activities going on.
She has had a couple of falls, and they kept us in the loop with notifications really well even from a distance; I received them here in California. They send me a calendar of what they have going on each month, which helps to be able to have conversations with my mom while knowing what’s happening. I appreciate that.
The facility is clean, no smell. It is probably not as fancy as other facilities in terms of setup and decoration. The way that they served the meals and the snacks is plain, like you're in your own home. I think she feels as at home as she could. The place is a good size; it’s neither too big nor too small, and it's all on one level. I know my mother is happy there. It’s clean, and they are very nice too.

I referred a good friend's Mom there. It is weel kept and up-scale. The care is excellent and they treat old folks like they are not old. There is always a watchful eye from nursing, smiles from the kitchen and a well maintained facility. The administrator make you feel at home and it seems very not corporate. The person is thriving there.

The Regency on Whidbey had a space available at the time my cousin was in need of a place to go because of his requirement for care. They were very thorough and their nursing staff was very accommodating to his needs. He had a large studio that was almost like a one-bedroom apartment because it had a dividing wall between the bedroom and the living room. The food was good. The setting was a little nicer than his present situation. It was also more expensive. I liked the way they communicated with the residents. They were very pro-active in keeping track and informing them of events, meals, and those kinds of things.
