Hi a wonderful place but I wish they could provide a coffee machine in the Bistro that worked most of the time.

Aljoya Thornton Place was very nice and almost plush. The people were very friendly. I saw some of their apartments and living areas. In some places, when you start needing more assistance, they move you to a different place or to a different living facility, but here, they don't do that. You stay in the same apartment and assisted living comes to you.
The staff is friendly and pleasant. They have a theater, hobby rooms, and a pool. I had a meal there, and the food was excellent. It was very good. The community was very nice and clean. They had paintings and sculpture.

We helped my parents move to this facility 5 years ago. So glad that we did! While is was difficult to leave the family home of over 50 years, the environment and the care at Aljoya made the last years of my parents lives MUCH more enjoyable. While being independent at entry, the assisted living options became very important as each parent was nearing the end of their lives. My mom passed away three years ago and dad just passed away. The staff was like family for both. The other residents became an important network of friends and community.
