If you care for your loved one do NOT place them here. My son was making excellent progress until he was placed here for rehab. On their own they decided to stop rehab. When he was in pain or had a fever more pills were given until he was unresponsive. His condition got progressively worse until they finally sent him to the hospital where he remains. He had urinary tract infection which led to sepsis. His hip was out of joint due to contractures (no rehab) which left his legs looking like a pretzel. He had bed sores. When he arrived at Life Care Center he was able to feed himself but no longer. It will take months to undo the damage they did in less than four months because of their neglect. I am overwhelmed with sadness.

I ended up having surgery and I'm in a rehab center now called Life Care Center of Puyallup. It's wonderful. It looks good and it feels good. The food is good, too. The care is good. Everything is good. They have Bingo, crocheting, arts and crafts, music, and movie nights.

I like the work staff from the kitchen to the administration. The staff is very frienfly. I have good contact with my mom's nurses, aids and the business office. Whenever they see me they greet me by name. Adminastration has been very helpful.

Never send an elderly patient here. My mother was left off of oxygen more than once because they forgot to transfer her back to the floor concentrator and the tank went empty. Also physical therapy gives up too easily on elderly patience who may have many health issues. Billing and admin staff do not care about families - only money.

I went to Life Care after knee replacement surgery in November 2014. The PT staff was outstanding. They were like family with lots of laughter. The nursing staff was also great, with the exception of one. I gave 4 stars because of the food. It was fine except for not providing what I ordered several times. Administration was kind and caring. I would recommend this facility and will probably go there for my second surgery.

In general Life Care Center of Puyallup isn't a bad facility, well maintained and cleaned with a pleasant dining room and friendly atmosphere. The staff, on the other hand, are a mixed bag to say the least. On staff are excellent physical therapists, quite skilled and talented at what they do. I had the opportunity to see them at work with my 'grumpy old man' grandfather, and witnessed as they took his belligerent attitude with a smile and continued to guide him skillfully through his therapy. The orderlies, however, do not meet my approval. Although they got their jobs 'done,' these men and women proved to be quite impersonal and isolated. I watched on as they went about their business like robots, cleaning and serving patients with nary a smile. If I had to say my greatest complaint, however, it was the way doctor visits were handled. Having to call up my grandpa's personal doctor to travel to the facility any time he needed one proved problematically expensive. If they ever managed to get a doctor in-house I'd have to say I'd give the place my recommendation. I just wish the orderlies would be more friendly.

My husband is currently staying at Life Care Center in Puyallup, WA. This is his second time being there. The staff is outstanding and the care he has and is receiving is the best. They are very caring people, from the front desk to the kitchen help. The building is older but it is clean and there are no smells. I would recommend this care center to everyone.

My Dad is currently staying at Life Care Center in Puyallup. The concern and care he is receiving is outstanding as is all the staff. He has Parkinson's and has special needs. They not only know of his needs, but give him the extra time he needs to allow him to help himself and improve his strength. I appreciate all the care and assistance he receives there and would recommend them to everyone!
