As a student of Walla Walla Community College's Nursing Assistant program, we are required to spend 50 plus hours in this facility as "clinicals". During my time there the CNA's were loving and nurturing to the residents. The facility was clean and seem to be able to keep schedules. The kitchen staff is rude and could take more care in plating and presenting of food. The facility is under construction thus, the air conditioning was not always available.

The local community college holds clinicals at this facility for perspective nursing students, medical assistants, as well as nursing assistants. I recently spent the last 6 weeks in this facility and have to say I was impressed with the staff's immediate response to their residents. The nursing assistants are quick to respond to any of the residents needs in a caring nurturing manner. The facility is clean, neat, and the residents rooms are well-kept. No matter the problem within the facility (broken washing machine, rude cooking staff, or whatnot) the nursing aides did an excellent job of working together and keeping the facility running smoothly. On a negative note, the facility is under construction at this time, leaving the facility rather warm in over 100 degree temperatures. It was as if there was no air conditioning whatsoever. The food looked horrible and the cooking staff made serving the residents a cattle call, rather than take the time to plate the food.

My grandfather lived in Clarkston Care Center, and me and my family saw that he had a good care. The nurses and workers are very kind and they are always looking for the needs of the people in the facility, and they were always asking if they need something. They told to my family, every week, about the condition of my grandfather. I think that this center has a good quality and is a good home, because even when the place is small my grandfather always said that he was very happy there, and that all the people looked for his happiness.
