My dad likes The Fountains at Washington House. It's a nice place and he says the food is average. They have lots of services like getting his laundry done, getting three meals a day, and receiving housekeeping services. He's in independent living, so those things are really good and we're happy with it. The staff is also very, very nice and very helpful. They have musicians that come in, they hold little parties, they have a library, and a gym, and some events.

We visited The Fountains at Washington House and we looked at their independent living. What I like the most about the place is the location. It's close to Washington D.C. with the museums and the theaters, so there's lots to do within a very short distance.
Their apartments were kind of old, but what we saw were apartments that had recently been vacated and hadn't been upgraded. They said that they replace the carpet with every new tenant and they repaint the apartment. I think it would serve our purposes and it's close to all of the amenities of living in the city.
The staff was very, very friendly, and they seem to know a lot of the residents. The people there greeted the person that was giving us the tour, and that person greeted the residents back. It seemed like they knew one another pretty well.
A lot of stuff is still shut down, but we saw the beauty shop and people having shampoos and haircuts. That was really the only thing we observed. My husband reads a lot and they had several large libraries in the building, so that made my husband very happy. There was lots of reading materials.

My mom is in independent living at The Fountains at Washington House. Its excellent and very well-maintained. The staff is very friendly and the food is very good. My mom is in a 1-bedroom with a little kitchenette, living room, bedroom with a walk-in closet, and a bathroom. My mom does housekeeping every other week.

I visited The Fountains at Washington House. The food was good, but the facility was not as fancy as I would like, and the location was not very desirable. They had field trips to the theater and shopping trips. They just need covered parking and more parking.

I liked The Fountains because of the amenities and their price was much cheaper. They had some large apartments. The people were nice, although we were not able to talk much to the residents. They had a wide range of activities for them.
