Greenfield of Spotsylvania was adequate. The staff was very friendly. The facility was older and it was a little more institutional feeling than the other facilities I went to. It's not as high-end, but that's reflected in the price. They had crafts and I think they go out on the bus to visit places in town.

Greenfield of Spotsylvania was a pretty decent facility. It has the potential to meet the needs that I'm looking for for my mother. The staff was very informative and very outgoing. The rooms were nice. They were decent for the price. It was an older facility, but they were well kept, and clean, and they were undergoing some renovation. I thought they did a good job of presenting the place. The dining area was small but it looked adequate. Everybody was sitting around the table and seemed to be having a good time and enjoying the food. They had a good diversity in the menu for the seniors. It's a smaller place, so there are not a lot of amenities, but the staff seemed to engage with the residents. They had a calendar where they play different types of games from bowling in the hallway to putt-putt golf to bingo and those sorts of things.

Greenfield of Spotsylvania's personnel is great. They're friendly, kind, they listen, and they have good information to provide to you. Having my mom there has been a wonderful experience so far. They're very understanding and they communicate well. The rooms are clean, nice, and seem to be updated. They have an activity calendar, and a quaint dining area. She says the food is fine. I've also seen it and it looks delicious.

Greenfield of Spotsylvania was just a smaller and more quaint place, which we liked, and it's nice and clean. The bathroom was a very good size. They told us we could bring a small fridge or a microwave, as they don't have those there. It's kind of under construction around the outside of the property. So, they've taken away some of their picnic table areas, but everybody appeared to be happy as far as the residents and staff. It was a younger woman who toured us around and she was very positive and perky. We just needed to make a follow-up as she wasn't able to answer the financial questions that I had.

My mother stayed at Greenfield of Spotsylvania for respite. It's more assisted living than memory care. She already had dementia and there wasn't much that they could do for her at that point in her condition. Most of our experiences were good, some of them were not so good. The most I liked about it is they were prompt in response in working with me to get her in, but when it came to the actual level of care, they were lacking on the notification and looking in on my mother when they needed to. They did some good things, but other things that weren't so good. They ordered medication that they didn't need to order. They didn't run it through me. When she was dying, they failed to notify me. They were good when she fell twice, they notified me, but in her last few hours, they didn't do anything to notify me. They left it up to a caretaker that I had hired. The staff was attentive and easy to talk to, all up until the point I had a problem, and then once I had problems, they kind of shut me out. They didn't like to hear any of the negative things. They only wanted to hear positives. It wasn't very good that way. She was only there three weeks before she died, so it's kind of hard to have a long-range judgment on anything. They gave her what we asked them to give her, but in her condition at the time, she couldn't eat much. The facility was nice. Of all of the ones I've seen, that was probably one of the best.

I toured Greenfield Senior Living of Spotsylvania for my mother. It was clean; that's the first thing I always look for. The second thing is that the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff that greeted me was pleasant. The lady was extremely nice, extremely helpful, and pleasant. We just had a good time just discussing everything. She allowed me to say what I had to say about my mom, her capabilities, and how it will fit with their program. It was just really a pleasant visit. She took me on a really nice tour of the place, and what I saw was a very pleasing, warm atmosphere. I noticed the other residents and everybody seemed to be thriving really well. Some were standing outside, and some were at the lunch table. The overall experience at this point has been great. I don't have any anything negative to say about them. I saw the assisted living. I need it to be assisted living type set-up because I want to be where I can take my mom there as a respite patient. I'm going to call her back today and get it set up for my mother and myself to go by there by Thursday. We are hoping to have a meal and see everything that they have to offer.

We were treated at Greenfield of Spotsylvania just fine. It was actually my mother–in-law's birthday that day, and they had cupcakes, cookies, and balloons for her, and they sang for her. We were impressed with the place. Everyone had a smile, and we couldn't ask for anything more than that. We talked to a few of the residents and they seemed to like it and they said the food was okay. The place was clean and not smelly.

Greenfield took great care of my mom. She resided there a year and I visited her every week. I saw how they cared for all residents. Staff were kind to everyone, always willing to support them and chat with them. She was well liked by everybody there and had the most professional treatment. She passed away when she was 92. Four staff members attended her funeral which I appreciated very much.

The six months my mom has been at Greenfield Senior Living Of Spotsylvania has been an amazing experience for her. The staff have been kind and attentive and have treated her with dignity, kindness, and respect. She can be hard to please and yet she has not has one negative thing to say about the community. In fact she loves it there so much she does not want to return home. Thank you so much to all staff at Greenfield!

My mother stayed at Greenfield of Spotsylvania for a couple of weeks. There was really no problem. The nurses took good care of her; however, her clothes disappeared, but they got most of them back. I had names on them, but they got mixed up. Most of the time, they were pretty good. They had nail polish parties, played ball with a group, had music people come in, church service, and had a little place outside where they could walk around. They served three meals a day for her and snacks, and did the laundry there. I brought all her medications and they said they would give those to her, but they sent me a $550 bill. They did pretty good for the price, except for the billing.

We visited Greenfield of Spotsylvania. I liked the cleanliness and friendliness of the place. They had crafts and exercise programs, like chair exercise. The staff was very informative, outgoing, and friendly. They showed me different types of rooms, the dining area, and the place where they did the activities.

Greenfield of Spotsylvania was nice, and the people there were friendly. The only drawback there that I saw was that I couldn’t use my computer, and it was further away from my daughter. I think the residents seemed to be happy.

My mother in law has been at Greenfields for several months now. In her own words "everyone here has been so good to me; I cannot complain about anything." It is very comforting to know your loved one is in a quality, caring environment where the staff go out of there way to meet her needs.

Greenfield was like a nursing home, and I didn’t care for it. The staff is OK. They showed me a room with a shared bathroom.

Greenfield is simply the best facility with the best staff I have ever seen. The staff are caring and reliable. The facility is clean and inviting. My loved one called it "home" for over a year and a half before she passed. She was so appreciative of all the caring friends she made there, which included residents as well as staff.

The staff are very nice and help the residents whenever they can; The receptionist is very sweet; The head nurse is very knowledgeable and understanding; The caregivers are gentle and kind. However, there have been times, when some of them don't respond to calls for assistance in a timely manner. My aunt cannot do much herself and relies on the caregivers for most ADLs. The only daily activity is watching TV. The weekends are totally uneventful; The weekdays they have one or two activities a day; It can get very boring; The food is below average; She told us that more than once she got served cold food; three persons share a bathroom in most rooms; She said sometimes, the toilet is not flushed; I wouldn't suggest this place unless your loved one wants to sleep and watch TV all day; We are going to be moving her in a few months to a place that offers more amenities for the same cost; I would not recommend this place unless your loved one is independent and can get around on their own and enjoys an inactive lifestyle;

We have settled on Greenfield because of the pricing, cleanliness, and the environment. We met the staff and liked what we saw, so we decided to put my father there. However, the snacks and the amenities weren’t as adequate as the ones at the other two communities we visited.

My father has been in Greenfield for 10 months, and it was OK. To be honest I think they were a little overcrowded for the amount of nurses, and aides that they had. I didn’t have any problems with any of the staff. The food was real good there, and it was clean.

I didn’t like Greenfield because it had more of a nursing home than a senior living atmosphere. I didn’t think it was right for three people to be sharing one bathroom. I didn’t like the layout, but the place was clean, and the staff was very nice.

I really think they knew all about Alzheimer's patients at Greenfield of Spotsylvania. One thing they had was some big dolls in the hallway. I asked them about it, and they said patients kind of go back in their lives. They have some that sit there, dress it, undress it, and take care of it all day. They were really sweet. I liked the rooms. They were nice and big.

There are a couple of reasons why we chose Greenfield Senior Living. First of all, closeness, and second of all, the staff was very friendly. We visited three or four times, the place is very neat, and it is more of a smaller community than some of the other ones -- that, said my mom, suits her well. She has been there for four weeks. I have not eaten there myself, but I sat with my mom while she was eating there four or five times, and she does like the food. Aside from physical therapy, they play quite a few games. They do Pictionary, beach ball toss, and a Hide and Seek kind of thing. It is close to the hospital and a lot of the shops.

I visited Greenfield of Spotsylvania for my sister. They only opened this place over a year ago. It was a smaller community, so there was a personal touch to it. They only have 30 beds. They have an on-site nurse practitioner, and they have transportation to get folks around. They have very friendly people who are willing to work with me. Their rates were reasonable. Their rooms were a decent size.

Greenfield of Spotsylvania was nice. The guy that runs it was very knowledgeable and knew everybody in the facility, and he called me many times. I would recommend this place.

If you are looking for an assisted living facility, Greenfield of Spotsylvania should be on your list to visit. This facility has the personal care your do not find in the large warehouse communities. In addition to being a medical model, which is a big benefit for those living there and requiring medical services, everyone from top management, the nursing staff, supervisors and co-workers are friendly and enthusiastic and are involved in the care of the residence.

We chose Greenfield for my mother because it is very beautiful, very clean, and not overwhelmingly big. It only has 62 beds. Also, it is very close to where I live, which is very important. We never even looked at any other homes; once we looked there, we knew it was the right place. It just felt right. The minute we walked in, we just kind of knew it was the right place for my mother. It is brand new. It is very, very nice and updated. My mother is happy as much as she could be. She would rather be at her own home, but this place is OK.

I visited Greenfield of Spotsylvania because it was within our budget and it seemed very quiet there. The staff was very nice. The activities seemed really nice. We looked at one room and it was nice and spacious. However, they need to have bigger companion rooms.
