Fredericksburg Assisted Living is a one-story assisted living facility offering 16 private studio apartments, each with a door leading to its own patio. Each suite offers 300 square feet of living space with a kitchenette and private full bathroom. Our all-inclusive rates include not only the room rental but also three meals daily with snacks, medication administration, weekly laundry services, weekly housekeeping services, activities, and basic cable as well.
Our healthcare team works together to help our residents and families through the aging process. The difference we offer is the commitment to personalized care for each resident. In addition, your loved one may also benefit from the availability of physical, occupational and speech therapy services on our campus. We also have the ability to transition an individual to our adjacent nursing facility, Fredericksburg Health & Rehabilitation Center, should the need arise for short or long term placement.

A few staff workers are amazing. But then you have those who are lazy. I brought my mom back from hospital, had my hands, trying to assist my mother with getting in the door and all she did was just sit there on her phone. The door even blew back open and I turned around to see if she was going to get it and nope I had to walk back to close it.
The food is god awful. I asked the Mgmt if she would eat it this when I brought it to her office and she said "no, I will talk to the kitchen staff"
My belief is the staff is not getting paid enough and this why they one they don't want to be there or two, they don't care and only want to do the bare minimum. Again not James, not Danielle, but the others are lazy. I asked for coffee for my mother so she can have while eating her dinner and I was told by the worker "we are not serving coffee at this time".
I've asked to speak with the supervisor in charge via email or phone call and its been months and still no word from upper mgmt.

My mom already moved to Fredericksburg Assisted Living. The people are wonderful; the staff really cares about my mom and getting her acclimated on the schedule. When you look at the facility, it's quite old. It needs some repairs. The people that are caring for my mom are fantastic. She has good meals. The people there care. The food comes from a different building, so sometimes it arrives at a different time than when it's supposed to. They have a basic dining room. There is a living space with a piano, a fireplace, and a TV in the common area. It's a really unique setup. It is like a rectangle building, and the rooms are independent where they have a door that goes into the center of the building. There is a door that goes to the outside of the building. Every room has a patio. Then the community has a dining hall and a living room. It's about 10 minutes from Mary Washington Hospital.

My mother-in-law will be moving into Fredericksburg Assisted Living. They're not allowing visitors at the moment because of keeping Covid out of the building, but we visited outside of the building. It's all 1-story. There's no step to get in or out of the building. Each room has its own patio. The staff is very kind, and very helpful. We saw some pictures of the room. It's nice, nice sized, has its own private kitchenette, private bath, has a fridge, and you can have a microwave, but it doesn't have a stove. They have the dining area, a place where they could cook with a stove, but everybody uses this area.

Everybody at Fredericksburg Assisted Living was more than willing to help since I had to move my mother-in-law on a transfer board when we were there which is a bit of a learning, and they were right there the day I took her to tour. Theyve all been very cordial when we went in. The patients seemed happy and liked it there. I've had friends who've had their parents there and they have nothing but good things to say about it. It's an older facility but it was certainly clean. The place was good and the layout was very good for older people because there were no long halls. Everything opened onto a giant dining/living room area which I thought was good so they don't have to push themselves down the hall to get there. They were more than accommodating. They have church, Bible study, groups that come in to sing, Bingo, and pets that visit.
