My father is now in August Healthcare at Richmond. It's been excellent. The facilities are very good. The facility is a little bit dated. They're just about to start a massive renovation, but the plans looked good. They've got excellent staff. They get to know the person that's in there, and the nursing staff is quite good. He is receiving excellent care, and he loves the food. I have not tried the food, but he raves about it.
The common areas are nice. When I was there, they were more on lockdown because of COVID. They've since opened back up, so they have lots of games and activities and they have little road trips. They've been terrific. I've had to coordinate with them for him to go out to wound care, and they've been very receptive to him having a different schedule, and the physical therapy there is excellent. They have private rooms. In my dad's case, you share a bathroom with one person, so that's pretty unusual. He's got Medicare, so I would say it's excellent value.
