Commonwealth Senior Living was very clean and very high quality. The staff was very professional. It was very pleasant, and there was lots of sun. I saw the dining room, and it was very pretty too.

Commonwealth Senior Living at the Eastern Shore was very nice and very impressive. It was a great environment, and the facility seemed very nice. What they had to offer for senior citizens was exceptional. The staff was very accommodating, very informative, and very polite. They have a lot of group spaces where people could meet, some with TVs and some with casual seating. They have outdoor spaces, a library, a nice auditorium, and a physical-therapy-type facility where exercises or therapeutic work could occur. The dining room looked very nice, and the rooms were spacious.

I just stopped to visit once because my parents only got to move in. The place was very nice, they have a very nice apartment, and they seem to be very happy. So that was one of the most important things -- that they are happy. Because when you are used to living in a house and you move into an apartment, it is a little different. The apartment is pretty big actually, and I was really surprised it was as big as it was. They have plenty of room, but it is just the whole design of it. It is quite roomy so they have plenty of room for the two of them. It is like a living room area, a bedroom, bathroom, and little kitchen area, so it is nice. I only had breakfast there, but they have been very happy with the food. They feed them breakfast, lunch, and supper, so they have all three meals. They have exercise and classes, they do therapy for them, and they have a room where they can go in and just gather. They have games that they play, and they play Bingo. They have a lot of different things for them to do.

The facilities were very nice and always tastefully decorated, from the colors to the art on the walls. The residents almost always seemed content and happy with the staff and the services provided. The staff always seemed friendly and willing to help any time someone needed something. The layout of the Hermitage was unique, from my experience. There were three levels of care provided at the facility. The first was an independent area, where the residents needed little to no daily care. The next level was assisted living, where the residents needed more hands on care and daily stimulation. The third and final area was the nursing home area, where the residents needed round the clock care and observation. All in all, the Hermitage seemed like a great place to live, work, and visit. I thoroughly enjoyed my visits there and will continue to visit on a normal, weekly basis.
